momentous days, shame talking to myself.

Brexit and the geopolitics/negotiation etc is going to be the subject of films, academic papers, exam syllabuses (is that the plural of syllabus?)

Three options for Theresa May this pm

1. Say she’s suspending negotiations because she’s run out of road to force EU rethink

2. Suddenly change position & say shes not going to sign up to the NI backstop and ramp up no deal planning

3. Ramp up linguistically but w/o substance

where's your bet going?

Really hope she ramps up the language. The EU have been taking the piss all week. She cant just lay down and take that if she wants any credibility in negotiations.

Tusk and Co have pushed too hard.

Do you think Trump's approach to political negotiations (and at least the positive reaction of some quarters - perhaps more accurately a hardening of the supportive voices) have influenced May into a strong statement today?

Continues to be a must-read thread, Tighty.

You are not alone Rich.

I don't post much on this thread because my opinions are usually quite lowbrow and naive.

I absolutely believe that at least 75% of the population, and 95% of politicians think that leaving the EU will be disastrous for the UK. Never the less they are prepared to plough on in the misguided sense that it's the democratic thing to do or, more often, because it furthers their political career.

Getting sick of all this now, I’ve honestly got to the point where I’d rather be piss poor than pushed around by these bully boy pricks!

Statement delayed due to "a lack of power"

Over to you, satirists.
