he shouldn't be

creator, assists etc

this was the goal he created to beat us, he is the one breaking 25 yards from his own goal.

whoever plays up front for Wolves could score a lot of goals (again,if he is consistent)

Enobakhare started yesterday (Dicko might be first choice? in at 66-1)

I like Cardiff on the handicap +16. Good summer business and their strong second half of the season showing last year was very promising. Usually teams that have such a strong second half do start on fire the next season, ala Scunthorpe in L1 last year.

Warnock has had a pretty great record lately with Rotherham and Cardiff, even the short spell at QPR was decent. Patchy before that and obviously last century he was on top form.

Anyway, Brentford do look like they've done top summer deals, even if Jota is sold you'd fancy their recruitment team to replace him. Losing Gray and Hogan didn't exactly stop them scoring goals last time. The mental thing is that Alan Judge was probably the best player in the Champ before his injury, if he comes back fit and firing joining the other potentially best player it's a bit mental.

Still feel like the prices are a little skinny on them though, because their are some huge budgets in the division I'd expect top 6 is a good shouts but the Handicap of +11 is disappointing. I had Huddersfield last year huge bet on about a +24 handicap and they lost out by 1 point to Brighton. Sad times.

Tom Barkhuizen at 100/1 top goalscorer E/W is another bet I like. Running with the Cardiff theme Zohore at 33/1 is ok i guess. 1 in 2 record last year, young and will improve?

There must be some life in this big priced treble at the weekend:

Derby (away) to beat Sunderland

PNE (home) to beat Wednesday

Brentford (away) to beat Sheffield United

Considering Sunderland look a mess, as do Wednesday and Brentford's decent signings, we can't be far away with this. All of these teams to win are above 2/1 too. So looking at 30-35-1 treble.

Ante post preview by Sporting life.

They fancy Middlesboro and Wolves to go up, and Billy Sharp top goalscorer.

Not sure how accurate this is, at least at the lower end, as it looks like its ignoring anything officially tagged as undisclosed.  We've definitely spent more than £0.3m on our 11 new signings (Ethan Pinnock from Forest Green Rovers was rumoured to be heading towards £1m, but officially undisclosed).  However, there's little doubt that we'd be near the bottom of this list.

The wage bill analysis would probably be a better indicator of relative strength than the pure transfer fees, particularly as this doesn't give an indication of net spend against transfer income (which would put us, and others, squarely in the profit category this summer).  Where we continually struggle to compete is with regard to the terms offered to players, relative to most other Championship teams.

Better be lucky than good!

Brentford failed to win for the 7th straight season opener. Were also a goal ahead on xG as the away side so no panic.

I think you safely say that chart is a load of bollocks.

Wolves 18.3? They spent that on Neves alone.

Got to take your hat off to Neil Warnock. He's an old school motivator but he still get teams performing.

Can't help liking him even though he winds people up and is from the red and white side of Sheffield.

Our owner, Patrick Cryne's, programme notes last night provided a huge amount of perspective.  Emotional reading for any Red's fan and the reaction from the wider football community has been fantastic, with some great messages of support from fans of other teams.

We wouldn't be in existence without this man.
