I'm pretty bullish about who will finish in the top 6, even now.

Wolves
Boro
Fulham
Derby
Sheff Wed
Leeds

The top 4 I'm most confident about.

Who else can challenge?

Villa would be the danger if somehow turning things around after years of the club rotting from the inside out.

There's no way Leeds are finishing outside the top six. Standard is very poor this year.

1.Wolves (assuming will spend big on defenders)
2. Boro
3. Leeds
4. Fulham
5. Derby
6. Preston
7.  Sheff w

I'd be amazed if Preston can maintain their start and finish top 6 but then strange things happen in this league.

Leeds have had a tremendous start especially after losing their manager and 3 or 4 players. Fair play to them.

What a nightmare at Hillsborough today.

We got took apart by a United who got their tactics right, out thinking and out playing us.

The first half was probably the worst Derby day performance by Wednesday in the 45 years I've seen them.

It was Keystone Cops defending.

Wilder had done his homework. Carvalhal is a stubborn guy and persists in playing a very defensive 4-4-2. They exploited that inflexibility. To make it worse United were first to almost every ball and wanted it. Wednesday players just didn't turn up. It was a gutless embarassing display.

United are a tight unit. That Brookes lad looks top quality. Very impressed by him.

Going to be a long season at this rate. I would take 6th now.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal leaves by mutual consent after defeat by Boro (who also sacked Garry Monk!) http://dailym.ai/2BHNWit

What is the backstory to Monk's dismissal?

Never saw that coming. Sounds like a fallout was had.

Rumour I heard was Monk was at Swansea when he was supposed to be meeting Gibson Thursday before the Sheffield match?

Monk might end up at Forest as he's second favourite to replace Warbs who is the latest guy to fall of the Forest Manager merry go round Sad

I'm convinced Brentford are going up this season. Wolves aside I don't think there is a better side in the division.

Will they sell Vibe and the winger Sergio Cano (think that's his name) in January?

Can never say never with Brentford but I'd be surprised if either went this Jan. Vibe highly likely to be off in summer though, unless Brentford go up. Quietly amassed the most goals in the Championship in the calendar year (that old chestnut) despite missing a fair few games through injury. Would be a perfect signing for Brighton given his skillset but that won't happen due to the owners' relationship.

Canos has a massive future but I think he'd be best served playing more games for Brentford right now. A premiership talent for certain though.
