FIFA15 coins

Does anyone know anything about these? My son wants me to buy him some, it seems you buy them from 3rd party websites. I did a bit of googling and it seems they may be against the T&Cs of EA (the makers of FIFA) and your account could get barred if you buy them. Is this actually the case, and if so what is the realistic risk involved? Also, are these third party sites reputable or is there a risk of getting ripped off? Any recommendations for which site to use? Basically any info from anyone whose kids are into FIFA and have bought these coins would be great...

Bought chunks of these for my lad through a site called futseller (lots of other sites about) a few months ago - 4 or 5 transactions, all went through fine.
Got 3 or 4 times more coins than for the same price through XBox/EA/FIFA (whichever one the recognised route is).
Googled around to find a site which people had used with no issue, plus got Fin to ask his mates.
Apparently XBOX/EA/FIFA then put some blocks in to make it more difficult / less beneficial to go through a reseller.
Just asked him, and he didn't think there was a ban / account lock issue with using these now, just said it wasn't really worth the bother. Wouldn't take that as gospel though, and would double check before going ahead.
Sorry that's a bit vague but it's a world I'm not that familiar with.

If you use these sites and are found out your account will be banned and your son won't be able to play FIFA UT anymore and your money will not be recoverable.
Do not use them, tell him to earn coins by playing like everyone else!!

The whole reason EA/FIFA changed the Ultimate team transfer market to having player values (lower & upper limits) was to stop coinsellers from being able to easily ply their trade like they were able before when the market wasn't capped on any player/consumable.

Does this mean I can buy them from an 'official' site then? i.e. from a site where it is allowed rather than against the T&Cs? Cos I was under the impression that you could only buy coins from third party sites...

Yep, same here. I have no clue what it is all about tbh. For example, I have no idea at all what this means:

There is a 'transfer market' which your son wants the coins for.
This used to be open, you set a lower limit, and you set a buy it now price for whatever player you want to sell, and there used to be no limits. So if you bought 50,000 coins from a 3rd party site they would tell you to just list a worthless player that nobody will buy and set his limits at 49750 low and buy it now at 50000. They would then take your ££ and buy that worthless player for 50,000. Transaction done.
EA/fifa smartened onto this and have now put limits in. So the most you could buy a worthless player for would be like 5k. And better players etc they would have ranges of prices rather than uncapped prices so it's harder for these sites to 'pass you coins'.
Simple fact is it is highly frowned upon by EA and no doubt they have banned most coinsellers/know most accounts that do it, so if your account got linked with an interesting transaction with them then you would be gone should you get caught. You'd have no excuses as it is against FIFA/EA rules.
I'm not sure about buying coins specifically through EA/FIFA, but you can buy FIFA points on the game which are then used for player packs, giving your son say 10 players per pack which he can either use or sell - and these players values/ability will be pretty random.

That boat has sailed. Prior to EA clamping down, you could pay £20 (as an example) and offer a craptastic player to the market and these gold farmers as such would pay the outrageous fee. Thus, you've bought the gold.
They placed, as mentioned, restrictions on the amount a player can be sold for based on their ratings, so it's not really worth it.
You can buy him legitimate gold/points through the play station or Xbox store though!

This was my job a couple of years ago, made a tidy living off the video revenue, some small sponsorships and selling these FIFA coins on the side. I jacked it in about 3 months before it blew up and everyone I used to do videos with started making 6 figures or more a year pissing about on the Xbox.
Like changing your lottery numbers the week before they finally come in.
