4 sessions this week, and same planned before BH weekend.

Will be trying to nick my workouts from Christian Guzman until Vegas, as I need to get a laptop, and the price of 8 weeks PT will cover it.

Still hovering ~235, as I really can't be arsed dieting.

I've cut the thrice weekly Creams Cookie Dough tut, and been lowering my takeaway intake over the last few weeks, which has arrested the ascent Cheesy

Bloody shoulder and right arm are giving me loads of aggro to the point it's getting annoying now. My strength feels at a point that I could probably hit a PB but I just know that pushing myself and getting a bit out of shape could really cause problems. 130kg yesterday felt really easy which I'm very happy with. It moves very fast and flies through my usual sticking point. Also 140kg with the slingshot now feels incredibly easy even with a long pause so I know the strength is there to go for that PB.

I've just got two more weeks of my current plan then I'll be calling it a day with recording on here. Hopefully I'll feel good on the day and can try for a PR but if not it'll still be good to look back on and view progress.

Hopefully it's reasonably interesting reading to see how progress can be made but also how progress takes time. There's nearly 4 months of work here and although it's paid dividends there really isn't a huge change.

I started my own mini challenge a few weeks back to go for a 1.5x bodyweight bench press. I'm currently dieting quite hard and if I can hit 97kg weight then a 145kg bench is near enough. I was 102kg a couple of weeks ago so it's quite a big loss in a short time frame particularly whilst trying to get stronger at the same time. Will see how that pans out but no big deal if I don't make it.

Next week is a planned de-load then on the 13th it's full on PR attempt. Watch this space.....

Some serious iron to be chucking about, especially with niggles.

Looking forward to it getting smashed in a couple weeks!

I might try for abs before 40 Grin

I think I like curries and kfc too much to attempt that one, though.

I do love a curry but thankfully that's about my only temptation along with 4 or 5 beers.

I have that once per week but it's only an extra 1500 calories or so for the day so averages out at 200 per day keeping me well within my limits.

I've just recently got a new dog so 5 miles walking per day is going to become a regular thing. Looking forward to adding in a few treats for myself to offset the extra calories burned.

Abs are so tough to get. I've got a reasonably solid and defined core but to get down to body fat levels where you might actually see it would be really tough.

Haha, I got to 14stone for the first time since the day I passed out of basic training last year.

Had fun the last 10 months shipping everything in sight and putting 2 1/2 stone back on Grin

Yeah, I've got a mother that absolutely loads the fridge up with everything you don't want in front of you when trying to lose weight.

Consistency is key, and I consistently whack too much food home. That coupled with the only way I'm doing 5 miles is in a car, doesn't help.

My core is non-existent, so would be double hard for me, I think. I literally have almost no core power, and have to concentrate to make sure I stay on the benches when I'm doing db press/flys etc Cheesy

I think my target going forward is just going to be to maintain my training, as well as getting to, and keeping myself ~15stone.

Gone and got another Rottie haven't I......

I'm currently fostering him with a view to making it permanent if his owner can bring herself to part with him permanently. I can see how it's tough for her, he's an awesome boy.

Well that was an interesting little experiment. Went for a PR yesterday and also a 1.5x bodyweight bench press but failed epically. Didn't even put it on the bar for an attempt as there's no way it was going to happen.

It was about 6 weeks ago that I decided a 1.5x bodyweight bench would be nice but the ideal numbers to realistically hit it were 15st 3lb or 97kg and then a 145kg bench

It meant losing about 4kg and also getting a little bit stronger which it turns out with an added shoulder niggle is not a particularly easy thing to achieve.

I managed to hit the weight target exactly so all I needed was to press 145kg and I'm there. Anyway my 130kg 'warm up' was ridiculously tough so I bailed out and preserved the shoulder for another day.....

Looking back I was at my strongest towards the end of March when my shoulder first when pop. I was weighing in at 16st 3lb on the 24th and I got a 135kg single.

Yesterday I was 15st 3lb so a stone lost in 7 weeks but zero progress on strength. Kind of makes sense I suppose and I should really be happy to have not lost too much particularly given that I've been injured.

I'm off on holiday on Thursday so a full week of sun and relaxing before getting back on it again. Weight wise I think I'll just maintain for now and maybe add a few pounds. It took a 1000 calorie deficit to drop down to where I am so it will be nice to eat again.

More to follow....

In other news the dog that I was fostering is now mine Smiley

Really nice to have a dog again and the walks are definitely good for keeping trim.

How's everyone else?
