hopefully

there are 200 skypoker players in the 1pm flight, so this is a gentle re-introduction today

sky are running a £10k freeroll here for their priority customers tonight, there is a main event satellite too

must be v exciting for a lot of these sky qualifiers.

i have never played a big live comp as is undoubtedly the case with lots of the sky boys.

would be great to see one or two of them go deep.

Is tomorrow 1pm sold out then given the fact no one has played tonight?

this is correct for some

obviously as times moves on the sky player base becomes more experienced and contains names that you'd know

but we met one guy and his wife who had come up today from Southampton.

Won a freeroll on the site to get into this. Hasn't played live before. never been to "casinos and clubs" and he called them

"way outside my level, this is like the world series for me" he told us

another chap turned up 48 hours early, then came back today with a t-shirt saying

"we're with tikay, go go go"

As in life as in poker, i could only conclude that it takes all sorts

no

we know it has 200 sky players so thats 35 tables

but room for plenty more

dealers are rota'ed so there shouldn't be any immediate risk of alternates

i would expect the 6pm flight to be busy too, the usual friday crowd, some people trying again after the 1pm flight too

Matt Cartwright is the new chip leader in the early flight

he was in the big blind and Raggy Clarke shoved in the last level from the small blind for under 100,000

Cartwright called with A-J, up against Q-J and turned an Ace to scoop

16 left as we near the close
