The longest since top is just over 13 years.

The longest since bottom is going to be 30 years on Boxing Day.

Crewe Alexandra?

Getting closer, 5th longest 17 Aug 2007

Liverpool?

Hmm, they don't appear in the list I've seen and they haven't been bottom for at least ten years so should be, I've tweeted the author asking if it's a mistake.

https://experimental361.com/2016/11/16/longest-time-top-bottom/ in case anyone spots another mistake.

Chelsea/United for bottom?

Winner, Chelsea haven't been bottom since Boxing Day 1986. Man Utd are second longest, they were bottom after two games of the first Premier League season.

Liverpool was just a guess, but I can't find any evidence of them been bottom since the early 50s.

The author got back to me with this link: http://www.statto.com/football/teams/liverpool/2012-2013/table/2012-08-25

They were bottom for one day in August 2012.

Wow, impressed he can find that.  Defeated by the Sunday kickoffs.

Just had a quick look at the website. Can't believe 3rd on the bottom spot list. Seem to remember them being a bit of a yo-yo team last decade, crazy that they were never bottom at any point.

Likewise, a proper 'really?'.
