The Mourinho chronicles
«

Mr Mourinho seems to be digging a very deep hole, & things are worsening by the week.
They now sit 15th in the Premier League, having suffered 5 defeats in 10 games. Prior to this season, they had rarely lost at home for several seasons.
The Lady Doctor controversy is far from over. He was out of order there, undoubtedly, & has not handled it well. More pain awaits, including a messy constructive dismissal situation.
A week ago, he incurred a £50,000 Fine & a (suspended) Stadium ban after some referee nonsense.
Yesterday, he was sent to the stands after an altercation with the referee. So was his long-term assistant.
He refused to speak to the Media after the game, so another fine awaits.
Chelsea face a fine for having 7 players yellow carded yesterday.
Media gossip emerged in the week of dressing room unrest, which stretches back to a 4-2 defeat in as pre-season friendly, after which Mr M accused his players of losing to a "mickey mouse team".
During the week, he got involved in some argy bargy in the street, after he allegedly "shoved" a teenage girl in the street, & his legal team are said to be on the case.

So, the question is, can he survive?
He's a great headline maker, charismatic, & he'd be a loss to the Premier League, & I'm sure even The Camel would be sad to see the back of him.

I don't think he is charismatic anymore. Since he came back to the Prem he's been an arse. He's is good entertainment though.

agree with this apart from the last bit. I don't even find him entertaining anymore. Just boring and classless
I hate to agree with talksport, but he is acting like someone who wants to be sacked and take his payoff.
He can then find another club for a (probably successful) 2 year project before the wheels come off again.
Trouble is, his teams play pretty much the same way and get found out after a few years. He is incapable of adjusting so just blames the players/press/fans/authorities/ (delete as appropriate)
Something tells me his obsession with Arsene is partly due to wanting him sacked so he can take over and lead them to a title.

If Jose ever becomes Arsenal's manager I'll defect to the spuds and give up golf.

Ain't EVER gonna happen. Arsenal are way too posh.
Have to say, the Premier League table looks good this morning. Think Arsenal have scored most points, & conceded the least goals, of all EPL teams in the calendar year.
I heard newspaper goss that Pep would like to move to London & start work soon. Now that might work, either at Chelsea or Arsenal.

something is not right behind the scenes.
cant remember who said it recently (a major manager, iirc), but the view was that mourinho works his players very hard. they mostly played in the world cup, had a full season without too much rotation last year. mourinho then gave a few major players pre-season off and apparently they weren't ready when stuck straight into the starting line up this season. others have played solidly for over two years.

Talking of Managers under pressure, this chap, adorned with way too much scarf, must be looking over his shoulder at the moment.

Maybe the FA don't want to embarrass themselves further over Carneiro?

Second thoughts, surely there is no way they could embarrass themselves any further?

What a mess.
Nit sure who comes out of this the worst - Mourinho, Chelsea, or the FA.
A bad mistake was made, a quick apology at the very start probably solves everything.

It's patently obvious to me that Jose has wanted to be sacked since day one this season but the question is why. He's courted controversy at every opportunity and has seemingly set his teams up to lose - stopping only to troll his old mate Arsene with the obligatory Chelsea win over Arsenal.
Conjecture of course, but I think he must have fallen out with Roman again in the Summer - perhaps over signings - and threatened to run the club into the ground. Roman feed him the line about spite making him see out his contract and Jose is pushing him to the limit. Seems the only possible explanation for such a precipitous fall from grace.
