these are being prepared now to go live after GPPT Old Trafford. will put the full satellite schedule on here when it is live. not sure about HR sats yet. Live sats in the club over the festival are usual, certainly

I've already won my seat for the main via Sky (thin), so was thinking more about the HR sats tbh. If they don't run any online sats for the HR, do you know if you can combine tickets. i.e. if I won 2 x main event tickets on party could I combine them for a HR seat?

sad day 2 is on a sunday, i think in general having day 2 on saturday going to be a lot better for most people, final on a monday too? whole festival seems good to be shifted back day or two earlier, everybody in Dublin leaves on 20th and then they are stuck with nowhere to go for a while. If you put a 10k on before the 2k it would prob get decent travel from Dublin.

one of the reasons it didn't involve the beginning of the week is almost all of DTD shifts to St James Park for the Grand Prix Poker tour leg which concludes on sunday 21st. most of monday spent packing up, travel south

Well we'd really love you to come along, & bring some of Team Crush with you, but the highlighted sentence is incorrect. It definitely will NOT "be better for most people", quite the opposite.

When DTD & myself, on behalf of Sky Poker, put the schedule together, we were mindful that we wanted to make it as accessible as possible for as many players, especially recreationals, as possible. Those of us immersed in poker so much often forget, but for casual/fun/recreational players, however we wish to label them, getting Friday off is quite a pain.

We looked at it this way. For a Saturday Day 2, & a Sunday Final, 100% of the recreational players would need to take a day off work so they could attend Day One on Friday. 100%.

This way, with a Monday Final, (we hope to play down to the Final on Sunday) assuming 1,000 runners (we hope...) & a 9 man final, only 0.9% of the entire field (9 players from 1,000) would need to take Monday off. So that's 991 "days off work" saved. That's a chunky sum of earnings or "holiday allocation".

It may not work, of course, & if not, we'll not repeat it, but these are the decisions we have to make. It was actually Rob's idea, but one which Sky Poker were very happy to try out.

FWIW, Sky Poker have already qualified 89 players, & we are still over 5 weeks away from the Event, & they expect to send circa 200 players in total, which is far in excess of what we have ever achieved before, we are normally at around half that rate on £1,100 events.

PS - Will you be coming along? The grapevine tells me that one of your star turns, Jonathan Gill, qualified for this via a DTD or Party Promo. Happy Days, send a few more, please.
