Clearly the market is inflated for the absolute cream of the crop but unless one or preferably two of those with unlimited funds is after him the price is different.

I still think he's a very good player and would love to see him at Arsenal but I couldn't imagine us paying £50M for him.

Not sure we would spend 50m but think Pep would do a good job with him as he has with Nico and Stones. Rather have him then Johnny Evans

For 65 minutes at Chelsea yesterday we played the best football i have seen us play for ages

Posession based passing football (62% away at chelsea after 40 minutes!), and ripped them apart. Didn't have any finishing though

once we were down to 10 men, happy to hold on for the point we would have grabbed at the start

Mahrez was sensational

Ndidi is going to be worth a fortune and outshone a weary looking Kante.Only 21 years old

Wilfred Ndidi vs Chelsea: • 86% passing accuracy • 82 touches - 2nd to only Azpilicueta • 5 tackles - most on the pitch • 4 interceptions - most on the pitch

and all in all most encouraging.

One gripe again is inconistency of refereeing.Cilwell gets two yellows, no problem with that. Kante commits 10 (i counted) fouls including several "yellow looking" fouls after a yellow, no punishment.

The match marked the first time since returning to the PL in 2014 that LCFC lined up without at least one of Simpson, Morgan, Huth or Fuchs in their defence.

Simpson and Morgan injurd over xmas,Huth on his way back from injury and Chilwell beginning to supplant Fuchs as the first choice left back

Extremely pleasing to see Matty James back in the fold Tighty. He played very well yesterday but is still a bit short of full fitness. Maguire and Dragovic look to be linking up well too. I’m with you on Ndidi, such a talent.

Matt James is a good player

On a far lower level obviously but he's a "Pirlo",lying deep and spreading the ball around. Puel is a huge fan apparently, which you would expect as he keeps possession and passes it and we are trying to transition style

Often forgotten that James kept Drinkwater out of the side for the first season up, and Drinkwater only got in when James did his ACL

And a new staple question for pub quizzes, the first VAR goal was scored tonight by Iheanacho .

🦊 Fousseni Diabaté (22) vs Peterborough United:

Signed from Ligue 2

51 touches
34/37 passes
3/6 dribbles
3/5 shots on target
3 key passes
2 goals

Impressive debut. If today is anything to go by, he's one to watch going forward.
