My bet is he will stay as president and see out at least this term. I think there is a lot of wishful thinking going on by those that hate him.....

What price do you think he should be to last the term?

I am no conspiracy nutter, but he'd struggle to do simething more suspicious than firing the FBI director.

Good for all the kids in school that get told they can do anything.

'You can do anything, even be president'.

Now they know it's true, and they don't even have to grow up to do it.

No idea mate, I'm clueless as far as odds go for this sort of stuff. I'll just say he is favourite to stay, that's as far as my odds/gambling knowledge goes. The only thing that surprises me with all the BS that has gone on with the FBI/CIA/whatever both pre and post election that action hasn't been taken sooner. If he really believed leaks were coming from one of those agencies I think firing the boss would have been very high on my list tbh....

It is pretty much 50/50 with the bookies, so there must be a pretty good chance he goes.

He does thing of breathtakjng stupidity though.  Yesterday the story was that Comey was sacked over the balls up he made over the Clinton emails.  Today Trump himself has said the Russia thing had something to do with it.   Given Trump's part in that "Russia thing" he has an enormous conflict of interest.  But yesterday Trump said it was his decision alone.

Makes Corbyn and Abott look polished.

What is the more likely outcome for trump?

Impeached for doing something he didn't realise was illegal.
Impeached for doing something he knew was illegal
Quits before the end of his term
Kicked out by the senate because they think he has gone mad
Finishes his term but does not stand again
Makes it to the election but fails to get the GOP nomination
Loses to the democrat in the next election

I would guess he is persuaded to retire early but not sure he would think things have got so bad that he would take that option.

You left out one option........

He could die in office I guess

Yes, till the end of his term, as Ford did when Carter left  in '74

Wouldn't it depend?  If the election was rigged by the Russians (say), wouldn't it make the position of the vice-president untenable too?

It would be so unpresidented that the legal framework would have trouble coping with it, however not many would accuse mike pense of being in league with trump till almost the day before he was picked, I get the sense he is a mainline republican. Next in line is Paul Ryan (speaker of the house) then Orin Hatch in the senate. (Mainstream republicans)

I would imagine republicans would keep the presidency till the 2020 election, 2018 mid terms would be bad for the republicans, but they have gerrymandered so many seats, they may lose the house (all seats in play) but only just. The senate only has 1/3 of seats on offer (6 year terms) and the calendar is good the the republicans so won't be a huge change there.

My guess at the moment is that Russia hacked everyone, but leaked things that were negative to the democrats, they also had links the extreme parts of the trump entourage, but not seen anything yet to suggest trump did anything illegal knowingly in advance. (Would like to see his tax returns to see if his mortgages have been with Russian money)

My favourite explanation for trump at the moment was from a thread on Twitter, that he just loves winning and extreme loyalty, he will do and say anything that give him a quick win, and does not care about logic or consistency, and will fire anyone that gets in his way.

Maybe he has just thrown heads 100 times in a row, he could throw another 20 heads and escape unscathed after 4 years, or tails appears and he is in a lot of trouble.

Or a member of the public might take it into their own hands.

Actually, I was thinking that he could see out his term, stand again, win the nomination and get re-elected.

Can't say it won't happen.

He is a 2/1 fav to win in 2020!!!!!

It was not even an option I had considered

Like I said, all this rhetoric is coming from people who hate him, it's a bit like those people that have most of their social media aligned to the left and then are shocked when the conservatives win simply because everything they have read and heard for the previous six months months makes them think Labour have a shot. Same with brexit, the polls were not far from 50/50 most of the way, same 'shock' for remainers  Shocked

I think he will make it through this term and who knows after that.....
