Can someone point out the differences between Trump and Hitler's first days in power?
(Other than Hitler being a bit more modest, subtle and diplomatic that is).
Hitler wasn't having every move closely scrutinised by a billion people on facebook would be first on my list.
not exactly what I was asking but a great point all the same.

Is he just signing all these orders to give himself a freeroll with the public?
Don't the senate/house have to vote, and if they get rejected and he can say 'I tried people, they blocked me'
They don't have to go through Congress - the Prez has delegated authority from Congress to make Executive Orders in certain areas. He has extensive powers to act alone, but in a limited number of areas. Most areas of government still have to go through Congress.
Executive Orders can be challenged in court as being in conflict with the Constitution or existing legislation, and this has been done successfully a few times, with Orders being overturned. The Council on American-Islamic Relations has said it will file a federal lawsuit on Monday against the 'Muslim Ban' Order.

Adolf Hitler does however have several Twitter accounts.

Be funny to watch Trump's toys come out when he can't get his own way.

Stev Job's dad was a Syrian immigrant to the USA, I would not be reading this thread on my iPad if this policy was in place when he arrived.

Some of the airport stories about the slim ban are utterly horrific.
The first two refugees kept out of America by President Trump's order are Iraqis who helped US troops survive during the war.

Yeah this is the most pertinent thing for me, the countries not included in the ban. Not sure what old Orange face is doing, my gut says probably trying to appease people who voted for him on this policy issue knowing it is likely it would get overturned, so he can say "I tried folks".

it's ok Bannons on the NSC and the Joint chief of staffs have been devalued.
I'm sure Trump knows exactly what he's doing. No chance Bannon has his hand up him playing him like a puppet.
Absolute disgrace to the world, but not really expecting much less of America now.
Are all the Brits proud of Theresa being so desperate to make friends and speak good of him?
I did lol at the All lives not just Jews matter response to not talking about the events of the holocaust on memorial day. Definitely not Bannon exerting influence once again.....

This is my biggest concern - a millionaire British athlete who doesn't want to live here. Really trivialises the real issue - I do hope Mo manages to get back into the states -I has a feeling he will and then I guess we can all see that there is no problem at all now Mo's OK
