How come the US and  the UK are allowed to carry out ballistic missile tests but other countries aren't?

Non proliferation treaty would be the reason going.

How is that supposed to work then?

It's none zero I write a post on this topic but that question is pretty absurd to want answered on blonde.

I don't know what 'it's none zero' means.

Why is it an absurd question to want answered on blonde? I mean, I know I could google it but that's true of most questions that get asked on here.

What I'm looking for is someone to give me their take on it so that I can explore the concept with them and hopefully get a dialogue going.

Do you not think you are expecting too much?  I read your answer and my immediate response was to get irritated, as you directed your response to me rather than google.  The best way to get a response would be to give your take, and then others can give their take.

I am a bit more irritated now I have found out you did this deliberately.  Sometimes I have a lot of time, other times, very little.  It would be good if people always assumed the latter.

As it is I am glad we have a non-proliferation treaty, and I am glad it appears to work to an extent.  I don't think it is "fair"

Over to you, you have exactly 30 minutes*.

I said absurd because it's a complex political question that probably doesn't have an "answer".  Asking laymen in the situation leads to opinion that could be based on anything. (I did mean to include this in the previous post, sorry if tone caused offence)

For example ledders post doesn't really have anything to do with the Npt. It's going to become a redundant discussion fairly quickly. Furthermore, as an issue that isn't particularly current it is hard for people to have an opinion. I had a basic knowledge of the agreement but couldn't even begin to start a proper answer that would satisfy me.

I'm totally nonplussed.

I really have no idea why you're irritated but I do have a lot of respect for you and I don't think you would tear a strip off me for no reason, so I will just assume that my ignorance has caused me to put my foot in it and apologise.

Sorry.

Hello Tom

I work away and weekends are very sort.  Saturday mornings have become pretty horrendous.  Rather than have quality time with the kids we do something different.  On Saturday I normally have to follow a timetable which is difficult with two, and impossible on my own.  Impossible is the correct word here.  I have pointed this out before, and things get moved, but I just get faced with a different version of impossible.

In to the middle of Saturday grump, you directed a question to me that I amswered as quickly as I could, only to be faced with the same question reworded.

Now I have more time, the question is still difficult, but time is not so short.  I am on one of Branson's finest heading North.  I am probably not far from you.   There is a better answer than I can give in one of Adam's links.  Sorry I can't remember which one.

Anyway, sorry too.  I shouldn't get so grumpy, but nobody should have to go through the Saturday mornings I do, including my kids.

Edit.  The background and the best bit of discussion is in the 2nd link.  There is an answer by somebody called "restrictdata"  that I quite liked.

A little more empathy please - I myself woke up at 10.20am yesterday and finding time compressed, had to skip the leisurely cooked breakfast I normally make so I could get to the pub for 1pm - over 1 hr 20 mins away

One of the upsides of being a raspberry... I don't have to make my own breakfast anymore Grin

Regardless, I definitely don't skip any breakfasts.
