I think the "zero talent" comment is a bit unfair. It's not at all my cup of tea, being as I am, an old rocker, but they seem like pretty girls with decent singing voices, making well produced pop music for teenagers. Pretty sure the management will work the very hard too.

Plenty of people with FAR less vocal talent making what some would think of as more credible music.

Stop it Adam, I'm in grumpy-mode & just need to vent a little.

I'm sure you are right, & they are just as talented as The Monkees, or Bay City Rollers.

There was a BCR documentary the other night, what a reminder that was of how a group of youngsters can catch the imagination.

Even more fascinating, one night later, was a docu of East 17 (now named E17 I gather), what a contrast between Brian Harvey, who was a bit short up top (who remarkably managed to run himself over whilst driving his own car), & the genuinely talented Tony Mortimer.

Really meaningful lyrics, too.

I wanna toss, I wanna tumble, feel and fumble
I wanna do it till my belly rumbles

I dream, you scream and tighten ya hold
I tiggle in the middle as we giggle in I go

Ian Brown seems like a prime example of someone who can't sing for shit and yet made an enormous impact on the music world and is responsible for several of the best albums ever made. Talent comes in different shapes, and while little mix's music isn't really my thing, they seem pretty harmless and have a talent for being marketable and are probably better than average singers.

You can cross accents off the talent list as well.

Just for the record Kendall, The Monkees were a very talented group. Just because they were put together by a television company doesn't change that.

Oh, and guess which female vocalist holds the record for most No1 hit singles?

They are a Spice Girls Tribute Band, in precisely the same way as Oasis tried to replicate The Beatles

That is an interesting statement... if they tried to replicate The Beatles, it was certainly lost on me.

I can see how Little Mix can be described as another girl band off the production line in the Spice Girls mould. They did seem to have reasonably good vocals when i heard them sing (genuinely, not lip sync) live on TV ages ago.

He had a very big impact on quite a famous Era of music. In 100 years the Era of the Madchester movement will be a fuckton more memorable than the Era of little mix et all.

Four tidy boilers though, couple of Geordies in there too.

Remind me how old you were when The Beatles were in their prime, Mr H?

Ha, you can't say that.

I did laugh though, & now I feel bad.

Anyone else open this thread expecting it to be they're on Sky Poker TV next Tuesday?

They did the music bit before one of the NFL games at Wembley last year.

Anyway, nobody explained wtf nail wraps are.

So I've looked it up for you, & thanks to dear Perrie, now we know.

People actually wear these?

Bring back proper nail varnish I say, with that pungent ammonia like aroma.

You actually know who this WotR bloke is? That's a first.

Ah actually, you're just hedging with "Mr H". Bound to be right sometimes eh?

Suppose actually he's quite a well known character on here, what with his diary and his Isildur tribute thread.
