If he can somehow pull off a big result, it'll be mainstream all the way, & UK poker will be in for a nice boost.

Think of the age demographic, all those wrinklies with a stack of disposable income going on Saga Poker Cruises & the like.

"Seniors" Events in the WSOP & other Vegas rooms are a huge draw, but we don't even have them here. Yet.

The future is bright, the future is jacket.

He was on the phone from Vegas to 5Live at 10:30pm our time. He seems to have been totally dazzled by the media glare, having spent breaks in play doing interviews with the world's media, but still determined to "just be myself". Apparently he's also trying to convince the WSOP to stage an event in Hull; good luck with that.

With the CL on his immediate left, he might find the game a little more challenging today.

I watched the WSOP final table preview with Kara Scott, PH and Polk on BT sport earlier. PH is cringeworthy in his name dropping about going out for dinner last night with the Hull legend at least 3 times.  Name dropping the Aria constantly as well about one of the other final table guys constantly playing for millions in their high stakes cash games.  Apart from that it was a really enjoyable hour preview show.  Kara is perfect for the gig and Polk came across really well imo without sounded like an online nerd.  PH needs to realise the game has passed him by and move on especially from a TV pundit angle.  Like watching Alan Shearer on MOTD.

what an awesome first hand!!!!!!!  Kick on Hull's finest.  Then 3 bets QQ the very next hand.  How does he get no action there?

Imagine how many people are going to Nap's Hull on Sunday for the £10 rebuy when he gets home!

He is shaking like a leaf every time he stacks up chips or bets.  Awesome to see.  Wonder how rich he is in real life?  He could easily be a paper millionaire and this wouldn't make much difference to him.

He is set for life in Hull with $1.2m anyway now even if he is skint.  I get the feeling he is probably a multi paper millionaire anyway.  He looks like he couldn't care less whether he comes first or last.

Not sure he is easy to read even though he is giving off loads of info showing his hands.  He looks nervous as hell every hand whether he has it or not.

His chat is amazing with a pair of 4's.  'It's all in or fold'!!!!!!!  He is so off the cuff the online kids haven't got a clue what's going on.  Please win sir.  Biggest loser is Kassoff surely if he wins.

Just from reading the wsop updates he's dominating them all.
If it was one of the young online pro's, updaters would be banging on how good he was playing
