I have just started to use a Kodi box to access Exodus and Sportsmania but do not use a VPN.  I was wondering what the general view is on this, is it worth using a VPN?

yes I use one.

Sooner or later ISPs are going to start blocking or sending out letters to people downloading from known pirate sources.  I think that Mobdro is blocked by some ISPs.

It's also worth it if you go abroad a bit for getting iplayer and betting (obv poker too risky given the chance that funds will be confiscated).

Also don't use a free one, as sometimes the apps are dodgy in that they use your bandwidth for other customers.  Others are very slow, so no good for streaming.

I don't bother, don't think it's worth it.  If I get something through from my ISP I might consider it.  I don't use torrents or other p2p though, if I did, I would.

Am I the only one who does not what any of those are, where I'd buy one, or what they do?

I'll have a good look next time I'm in Tesco.

I think the letters are just for downloading so Kodi should be okay as it's streamed.

I'm same as Woodsey. Not going to worry until something actually happens.

You can get access to some blocked providers / locked geo content with a vpn.  Some newspapers / the bbc incorrectly reported kodi users where getting warning letters and the team behind kodi managed to get the kodi references removed from the website's. Atm ISPs are focusing on dloads.

Asnan aside, for exodus users I'd really recommend real debrid.

For a few  euros every 6 months you get an abundance of HD links that are rock solid and rarely buffer.

Sportsmania is the absolute dogs bollocks for sport.

And exodus is the best for TV/Films.

I don't use a VPN. Just regularly clearing the cache on the android box does the trick.

Thank goodness for that, Alan.

They may as well be speaking in a foreign language for all the sense it makes to me.

Ha.

I sort of half sussed that it was about stealing Content. I guess it's the internet version of shoplifting, not exactly a hanging offence.

It always seems to me that the forces of law & order almost don't recognize that the internet exists. This particularly applies to Libel, but in so many other areas, too. We have had the web for, what, 30 years now?, & it seems to me it is sheer anarchy, people do whatever they want, legal or not, & nobody stops them.

Anyway, it'll not keep me awake at night.

Do you pay for sportsmania?  Or is there a free version?

I'm a bit ambivalent about paying for pirate streams.  You really don't know what you could be funding.

Cache cleaning has nothing I can think of to do with a vpn.

Sportsmania is a paid subscription with a varied commitment period.  I paid £26 for 6 months, just over a quid a week.
