The Masters Snooker had started, usually an enjoyable watch.

Luca Brecel turned up in the arena with TWO cues - one for potting, the other for defensive shots. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

A recording of the game is currently being shown on BBC2. Virgo is commentating though.

Didn't catch the Brecel match but I'll have to see it now. Two cues sounds like a load of bollocks to me.

Don't bother, nothing of note, just watch the intro, as he walks into the arena, holding 2 cues.

A very odd thing indeed, don't think I've ever seen that before.

Oh, & in case Marky147 is reading this, he only used 1 at a time.

Williams v Selby was a classic.
The kick that Selby got when the score was 5-3 undoubtedly cost him the match. He must have been gutted but didn't bat an outward eyelid.

I loved it when Williams stole the cue ball. Everyone knew except the referee.

Tremendous entertainment, & a lovely spirit between the 2 players, with plenty of dry humour on display.

Did you see the safety shot that Williams made a mess of, but somehow ended up perfect? Some wry smiles were exchanged.

I think Williams is playing the best snooker of his career relative to his current opponents. The game has moved on since his glory days, but so has his ability.

Do you remember when he used to turn up with the likes of Hendry & Docherty at those £200 freezeouts in Cardiff & Swansea?

I like him a lot.

9-ball pool players regularly bring three cues with them to the table but they all have specific jobs.

A breaking cue which is usually heavier and has a very hard tip, a jump-cue which is half the size of a normal cue, and the playing cue.

I've never seen a snooker player bring more than one and I have come across many eccentric and odd-ball players over the years.

I can't imagine what type of shot you would use a different cue for at snooker.

*Moves Brecel slightly closer to the 'pretentious tosser' box. *

I know Geo. I was pulling the leg of the people who watch the channel that they have to mute.
