Yup, took a while to hit his stride, but those last 3 frames were vintage Ronnie.

I bet his feet are nowhere near the size of Gouldy's.

He was very unlucky a few times - especially that snooker escape off about four cushions which potted a tough red leaving perfect position.

I've asked before but how can such a high percentage of top snooker players be left handed?

Average in the population is 10%. Top snooker players must be almost 50/50.

What percentage of golfers are left-handed for instance?

Name the natural left handers in the top 32?   Not players who can do both fwiw.   There aren't many

Williams
Trimp
Robinson
Allen
Hawkins.

Is that 5 from the top 10? I'm not sure of the rankings.

So Ronnie, who got so frustrated by being out-safetied by Selby last year that he smashed the balls up as an escape and justified it by saying "grinding and safety is not my game" is now using the ultra-negative rolling into the pack of the cushion break-off shot.

Haha.

Mark Williams though. He's playing out of his skin.

This has been the most enjoyable session of the championship so far, really absorbing. Much prefer these really awkward frames to the crash bang wallop stuff.
