Has anyone else noticed that nobody on comms. is saying "where's the cue-ball" when it's going towards the pocket?

Do you think the phrase has been retired out of respect for the late John Virgo?

Similarly, the all-Chinese clash was Xintong v Diddle-I-Po, for this lover of the Goons.

The closest I ever got to the Goons was once acting on the opposite side to Spike Milligan, and he rang me up to call me a See You Next Tuesday.

Wish I could.

Unfortunately, there was a confidential agreement involved, and I believe my former Client is very much alive.

Whereas the 2 main players on the other side, Spike and George Harrison, sadly, are not

I have a Spike Milligan story......

My Physio, Alan, also used to treat Spike. Spike had bad problems for many years and this was back in the days when physios could prescribe quite strong pain killers. Anyway Spike turned up at the Physio practice one day in agony and Alan did what he could and then prescribed painkillers. 'Will this ease the pain and help me sleep Alan?' 'Yes Spike, it's quite a strong painkiller', 'are you sure Alan?' 'Yes Spike, get the prescription filled and you should sleep much better', 'OK Alan many thanks, you're a life saver.'

3 am the next morning Alan's phone rang and rang and rang and rang. Alan got up and answered the phone, all he got was 'You lying b*stard!' Before Spike hung up, Spike was very much a character.
