With 19 left, Ram Waswani is chipleader with 190k, and our Norwegian friend Skjervold has around 84k. Let's cheer for the first Norwegian in the final in this WSOP!

Well bobby1's prediction yesterday that this would be a good event for us is looking good. They are playing down to a final of 9, & at 0930 UK time, heres how the last 10 stand.

Cohen E.C. - $126,000
Robert Williamson III - $160,000
Allen Cunningham - $210,000
Davood Mehrmand - $120,000
Surinder Sunar - $95,000

Phil Ivey - $495,000
Phil Hellmuth - $130,000
Eddy Sharf - $145,000
Richard St Peter - $170,000
Sigi Stockinger - $225,000

Sadly, our Norweigan friend busted out 13th, and Ram busted out in 11th.

Looks a tough USA contingent too with Ivey, Hellmuth (after bracelet #10 and if he wins his first non hold em bracelet!) and Robert Williamson who has a great PLO record.

They have now finished play for the day, & 10 will return tonight, with 9 getting paid.

Phil Ivey. What a player. Cool as anything and balls of steel. Serious hero worship going on here.

Hmm, yes, the hero worship is noted. But when it comes to "cool", our Surindar can match Phil icicle for icicle.

Of course, Hellmuth is still there. He's been called a lot of things, but "cool" ain't one of them......

Cohen - if indeed it is Le Dangereux, does not get the cool rating - he's French - but he won't be phased by the big names, & he'll be laughing & giggling in that high pitched manner that grates so much. A genuinely nice guy though, despite being, well, you know.

The oddball here is of course David (or, as you prefer, Davood) Mehrmand. He's as nutty as a fruitcake, completely loopy, and cool he is NOT. But if he wins this baby, we will award him Honorary Coolness.

The French guy is Claude Cohen, who may be related to Robert "le dangereux".

Pity it's not Robert as I would pay good money to watch Helmuth v Le Dangereux part two !

Agreed Ralph. Robert would be nailed on to send Hellmuth into a mega-tantrum. How much fun would that be?
