$1500 mixed Omaha hilo

Have now re-entered.

The exit hand was a shame. Two limpers to my button at 75-150, I have    and raise pot to 825. The big blind and two limpers come along.

Flop Two Clubs (nut low, gutshot to seven high straight)

Big blind leads 1,400, first limper all in for 3,600.

I am obviously going with it, but a potentially big decision is whether to call to induce the big blind to come, or to move in to try to isolate. My analysis :

If the all in player shares A4 and the big blind doesnt have hearts, I want him in.

If the all in player shared A4 and the big blind does have hearts, and i want him out.

If neither player shares A4, I want the big blind in, to get more on my (near) lock half.

I decided my EV against ranges was just slightly better with the BB in rather than out, and so just called.

It probably made the difference. He thought for ages, but and just about went with it. It shouldnt make any difference to him whether I call or move in myself, as I'm obviously commited, but it felt like it did.

He had , so did indeed have my hearts blocked. But there seemed to be better news:the limper had no A4 to share my nut low, but a fairly inexplicable AJJT2.

So I was in very good shape for low, with a gutshot sniff of high.

Sadly the turn brought a 4 to kill my low, and the board ran out 63244, for the big blind to scoop it all.

As the cards did lie (which is of course a nonsense way to look at the hand) I would have got three quarters of it had I got the big blind out

1500 Omaha hilo

Nice one. Raise   Two Clubs Two Diamonds to 525 from cut off, hi Jack calls.

Flop Two Clubs (set, no low). I bet 750, he calls

Turn Two Clubs (nice). I have 5,100 and decide to bet 2,600. Feels like alot he has either an ace and a good low draw, or an ace, spades and a poor low draw. In both cases, if he calls enough on the turn, he may sigh call off on a blank river with just AJ, etc

River is instead of a Two Clubs (counterfeits me). Probably not as bad as it seems. Given he has at least two of an ace, a low draw and spades, it's definitely more difficult for him to have a pair.

He puts me in for my last 2,500. I mean, it's not pretty but it's a bluff more than enough, that I have to call. He does indeed have AT653 with spades.

Limit O8, lovely one. I raise  Two Clubs from cutoff, both blinds call.

Flop . Average. They both call and don't check raise, better.

Turn . The best card. They both check call.

River . Small blind calls and shows KK.

Up to 23k, one level to go

$1500 mixed Omaha hilo

Lost a big one

Raised  two spades to 1k, loose player calls, short stack moves all in for 2600.

Big decision whether to isolate. The caller has 10,400 behind. If I had AKQ32, it's obviously an easy isolate. This feels like a call with a multi way hand.

Flop is  (top and bottom pair, 26 could well be good for low draw)

Easy all in vs the player with chips.

He has T5432 (pair, better low draw, 9 card wrap)

Short stack has AAQxx but the side pot is now much bigger.

So I get it in in fairly good shape for the side pot, but it comes AJ356, so to give him the wheel.

Down to 12k. Then get it in with the A532 vs AJ42 on K53. Pretty good shape, fading 2 aces, 2 twos, 3 fours and 4 sixes, to take three quarters . But it comes K5346 to chop it.

$1500 mixed Omaha hilo

First hand, Big 0, raise from HJ to 1, 500 at 500bb, I have  two spades. It definitely is more than strong enough for a re-pot, but it's nice to flat and try to flop really strong.

I call, all fold.

Flop , he checks. Its normally a check behind, but his check feels weak enough that I think about betting. But I check

Turn three diamonds. He checks, I bet 1,200 into 3,700. He calls.

River three diamonds Two Diamonds. Ouch, two pair no low.

He leads 4,500 into 7,300. It just feels like low, its tough for it to be a strong high instead, or as well.

I call, and he has A8532 (smaller two pair, second nut low). Chop, chop.

Hmm its a shame. If I do repot, I maybe he calls and folds to my flop shove.

12,600, table looks good apart from Chidwick, but he is short

Into level 12, 11,000. Still short, but table offers the opportunity to stay afloat and not to have to take the 'I've got to double up or bust' bust view
