Another great day from Stu and the thread that just keeps giving.

Great updates Stu, thank you.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

$2500 Big bet mix

Tough table. Five handed, it's Jake schwarz, Deeb, (can't get rid of him), but David Baker, good random, me

Raised on Deeb's blind, folded to a pot raise (I call 9865 where I can flop a 7, but 9765 flops too many wrong end of straight draws)

$2500 Big bet mix

Big O

SB limps from 10k, I raise pot from BB with the big three clubs, he calls and the flop is a monster

(17 outs to straight, nut flush draw, second nut low draw)

We get it in and he has QJT94. Must make me almost exactly 70%.

The turn is the , for it all.

$2,500 big bet mix

OUT.

Pot Limit Omaha hi-lo

Massive pot. I am playing 56k, and have   and raise to 2,700 five-handed at 500-1000 (200). Deeb makes it 9,500 on the button. I pot raise to 30,000. He calls. It leaves 26k into a 61,200 pot.

Flop is   three clubs . I pot. All of my actions are pretty standard. As I pot, I just think "please don't snap my head off."

He snaps my head off.

He has   three diamonds, for trips. I have 3 outs and backdoor hearts. Board runs out 7338Q

115k pot, really gutted. It's always a messy spot with Aces and a poor low in this game, but can never be wrong to get it in. When my pot raise leaves less than half a pot-sized bet, it's rare we won't get it in on the flop. Was obviously just praying for the T99/K88 type flop, and indeed 733 rainbow doesn't look too bad (he will have A2 and very little high value alot of the time). That is, until he snaps me off.

I could just flat his raise to 9,500, but I then face awkward decisions out of position, with an awkwardly big stack to pot ratio. Although I only have a thin equity edge against the AQ52/AQ53 types he is likely to have, it's right to get it in. If he does choose to fold pre, I increase my stack by 25%.

His play? It is by no means awful, not at all. I personally don't like it overall. When it leaves 26k into 61k, there aren't many flops where he doesn't call the rest off, so it's not at all far from an all-in pre. And AQ53 is just a little too light.

Ouch, would have been a lovely spot had I scooped. Gutted at the moment, just because of the emphatic nature of it, but will be OK very soon.

Next up: $10k triple draw tomorrow.

unlucky Stuart.   4 bet and shove look very standard to me.   Just unfortunate you catch a bad flop for you and gin for him.  Flop looks terrible, but you are rarely in this much trouble.  His 3 bet would maybe be ok if double suited.   Rainbow looks a bit wild.

Count up so far

Cashes- $218,966
Missed events- $19,750
Extra event- $5k satellite to the PPC

The four potential $10k events from the start are now added:

So, minimum value of pacakge- $193,716
Minimum profit of package- $79,966

New count up

We have further missed $1,500 shootout, $1,500 limit holdem and a re-entry to the $2,500 big bet mix, for $5,500 total. So...

Cashes- $218,966
Missed events- $25,250
Extra event- $5k satellite to the PPC

The four potential $10k events from the start are now added:

So, minimum value of pacakge- $199,216
Minimum profit of package- $85,466

Doobs, I agree. He had just won another mammoth pot, so it felt like it might be a little light.

Thanks so much for the support guys, it means alot.

A quick note

There is a small possiblity I might fire a couple of my own bullets at the $365 Giant or $888 tournament, on my own money. I will notify if I do, but these will be the only events that will be outside of the stake.
