Hero rubs Hellmuth down.

Multiple penalties.

Hellmuth requests 86'ing for hero.

The numbers so far

I've decided to refund half ($750) of the $1,500 Omaha hi-lo entry. The two-orbit penalty (one hour round is misreported, it was two orbits across the dinner break) cost 1,800 of the 7,500 starting stack. I do feel the floor instantly pandered to Helmuth- he was still biting at me as much as me at him- but obviously it was foolish to give myself the chance of the penalty.

So, the numbers:

Cashes- $221,506
Missed events- $27,000
Penalty refund- $750

Extra events $55,000, the four potential 10ks were added. The 10k limit holdem was added as new, as was the $5k satellite to the $50k

Total is therefore $221,506+$27,000+$750-$55,000, so

Total- $194,256

Total guaranteed profit is on the $113,750 original investment, and so is $80,506

Message to stakers

It's a day off and I've got nothing to do, so if anyone would like to send bank details for payment so far, go ahead via PM

$1000 turbo bounty hunter

What a great day this is on the schedule. The $10,000 pot limit Omaha is possibly the tournament I am most looking forward to before the Main Event, but before that, there is still time for a good one. It's a twenty minute level bounty hunter. Three line whip on being there from the start. I think a number of people can definitely overplay the bounty element, and also over adjust to a turbo in the brief early levels where play is still deep, so we may well be playing pretty steady, depending on the table.

PLO8 later (and I think the turbo will be quick enough that the dream will be to cash it and still get in from the start) is such a fun game, and one that is fairly rarely played the rest of the year.

$1000 turbo

First piece of strategy- which queue to join. They are all horrendous, but I've gone for the safety's deposit box line, in the hope it might be the shortest

I bought in yesterday for the Main...

Definitely made the mistake last year of playing 1A. Although even if it was in theory the wrong choice, we ran very bad with an insane table all day- Firaldo, Ho, Weisner, Barbero, Akari.

So, after consultation, the general opinion is definitely for 1C, Which I would recommend to anyone else who is considering the choice.

$1000 turbo

Queues not too bad after all, in at 11:10am. The bounty is done via a "$300 bounty" chip, which effectively acts as an all-in chip

$1000 turbo

Wonderful scenes in the seat to my right. A very well dressed (the first sign he doesn't know how poker works!), very polite (the second?)  has sat down, and it would seem has never played before.

The table is being great by realising exactly what is going on, and helping him out each time (always so ridiculous when a novice player makes people angry). We have had so far:

A call by him on the button when the action was under the gun

He faces a 200 bet, and makes a blackjack "no more cards" sign

He says ' I think I prefer bacarrat'

$1000 turbo

Ah, sadly the inevitable happened. An all in call down with  on Two Clubs against Kings. Hope he enjoyed his experience.
