$10000 main event[/b

Seat one had a green tea and seems very relaxed, so the table overall feels fairly bad now (the poker version of bad, as in, they're good)

$10000 main event

Raise to 2,200 UTG with , BB calls.

Flop Two Diamonds Two Clubs. He check-calls my 3,600.

Turn Two Diamonds Two Clubs . He bets 6,100 into 13,200. I call

River is Two Diamonds Two Clubs . He bets 16k into 25,400. I fold

48k at third break.

Hmm. To be honest, given how he's played, I actually felt more of an argument for folding the turn than I did for calling the river. But given the steady  player arguement, it at least meant on the turn that if he was bluffing, I would likely be getting a check on the river. And I guess 2 outs to getting 50k if my turn call is wrong. So, given the 4% chance of that, that equity always accounts for 2k of his 6,100 bet

Wow

150k

Hung around for so long in this tournament, feels almost strange to now be in it.

Did it in the skillful way- won a massive race. My AK Vs JJ, flopped a king

So, I had got up to 72k, and then

Raise from a tight player UTG to 3k (which I actually thought was bigger than his usual sizing). I had As and decided to flat.

Big blind, who has been the most aggressive and gained the table chip lead, makes it 14k.r

Now, only one action is possible, I guess. Move in. And win the flip

Flipping marvellous.

Well done, Stu!

$10000 Main event

Big bluff, lost a big one.

CO (good player, played fairly but not massively aggressively) opens to 2,700. I have and three bet from SB to 7,700. He calls.

Flop . I bet 7,200, he Calls.

Turn . I check, he bets 16k, I call.

River .

I bet 30k. I don't think I've done anything too special, and so suspicion that I am turning anything into a bluff just won't be too high. It's obviously fairly tough for him to have the  .

He makes it 85k. He 99% has it, no thought about anything other than folding.

I think the only regret is that I did wonder about a change of plan when he snap-checked his cards going to the river. It could obviously have been a fake check, but it felt that it definitely did change the likleyhoods- and that it gave him the ace of hearts more.

I think I'm probably ok with it though. 2 to 1 on my bluff, and such a good chance of getting it through if I I don't run into the card that I'm trying to rep.

Great stuff! Well done Stu. So pleased you had a word with ‘Seat One’, for sure the right/classy thing to do imo. All the best for the rest of the day!

New table looks promising. It includes the guy who called the clock on Stacey Vs kassouf, and was (imo) unfairly over criticised for it. Mitch something?

Hmm

UTG makes it 4500 at 1600bb. I have . He has 34,500 total. Standard all in Vs an unknown UTG with 21bb, but he seemed nitty, so I just about decided to flat.

Ace high flop and he overbet pot fairly quickly, so that felt a much easier decision, to fold.

117,500, an hour to go

It seems very passive, and talk of day three is rife already, so probably will be playing a number of pots in this last 35 minutes

We have someone stalling, to make day three.

The only thing relevant to say is, you have to love his enthusiasm for the game
