They could finish third. The beauty of this format is that there are almost no bad draws. You could argue that the teams who don't make it out of Groups A and H are 'bad draws' as they're unlikely to be the worst team in the comp and the winners of those groups are less likely to be the overall winners (at least according to the bookies).
