I have recently experienced this and it got me thinking. Is it common for winning players not to be invited back or “not welcome” to small stakes cash games? Is table talk simply frowned apon to the point the game may as well be a home game on Stars?

Sheering the sheep to fast is bad for the game, and raising with non premium hands such as 5677 single suited is bad etiquette and annoying? Because it cracks AAxx single suited...

Tipping the dealer at the end of the session my loose 1 pound chips is showing the regs up and again moaned about.

I’ve recently got back into the cash game scene so in many ways a new player to the game. Are only losing players welcome back?

If this is the case local small stakes games are going to dry out in a few years time.

If it's private, and I'm not pals with whoever runs/organises, I wouldn't expect to be getting in if I was good at poker.

Thankfully that's not something I'd ever have to worry about, and likely I'd be invited back every week Cheesy

Sounds to me like you're focusing on the business of winning and not on the reason everyone else in the game is playing.

That's not a criticism - you're in it to make money - but it is an explanation.

I think it was the few players who organise it, do so to make money.  I do not play for a living, I have a full time job. For context all the players in the game have been playing for over a decade. The few who orgainse it play for a income.

It’s the first time I’ve experienced something like it. So I’m just wondering if this happens often.

Fair enough. The organisers might see you as playing a role they already have covered, then. If you want to stick in games like that, you have to play a role they are happy with. For those games for which the only acceptable role is a whale, you're probably just going to have to accept you're not getting back Smiley

Plenty.

Like Marky, it's not a problem I get often sadly.

Maybe the table talk you mention has something to do with it.

Maybe, but I was never berating players or not being friendly. If I had lost and was saying the same things then I would have been welcomed back everyday of the week. Haters gunna hate.

If you weren't allowed back after one game then you must have been very objectionable :-)

If it was more games than this then I think you must have lacked the self awareness to appreciate how others (who could stop you playing) were viewing you.

Either way, with regret, I have to inform you it was probably your fault but might prove to be a good learning experience

Absolutely with no doubt it must have been something I was doing wrong Smiley

All for experiences, live and learn.

From now on I’ll just zone out to music and chill out and just keep myself to myself.

Or you could speak to people, be everyone's mate and try to get into more games where you can make money repeatedly, while enjoying yourself too.
