From now on I’ll just zone out to music and chill out and just keep myself to myself.
That'll be just the job

If you weren't allowed back after one game then you must have been very objectionable :-)
If it was more games than this then I think you must have lacked the self awareness to appreciate how others (who could stop you playing) were viewing you.
Either way, with regret, I have to inform you it was probably your fault but might prove to be a good learning experience
Thin brags too
Absolutely with no doubt it must have been something I was doing wrong
All for experiences, live and learn.
From now on I’ll just zone out to music and chill out and just keep myself to myself.
Or you could speak to people, be everyone's mate and try to get into more games where you can make money repeatedly, while enjoying yourself too.
I think this is what got me in trouble. Trying to be friendly and talk poker after hands. For example if they ask me what i have I’d tell them, they would say I had x and how lucky I was.

It's got very like this in my neck of the woods, most of the games organised via whatsapp etc.
You need to be involved in the banter, not scream when you get a bad beat and play long enough hours when winning to give losers a chance to 'get out of it'. Most importantly, you HAVE to give action. Nits are not welcome in 90% of these type of games.

Yeah this a whatsapp game. Played over 5 hours both nights. Gave tons of action. Got lucky when hitting flops . Tried to get In on the banter and got told my banter is so bad! 😂😂

About the only thing I don't want to talk about is the hands I've just played, or anything to do with poker, and I'm only half a whale, lol.

Yeah I get that now. I would talk about hands I was involved in. Win or lose. But only after a question was fired my way.... I think this is what I may have done that pissed off players. Again I just wasn’t aware it was pissing them off until I get abuse the next day on WhatsApp.
Like I said. Head down, play my game. Win/lose/draw.
Just a shame as I like the social aspect of the game. Might need to take up another hobby.
Look forward to meeting you in Brighton Marky. First drink on me.

I just always try to find out if people at the table likes sports, gambling on other stuff, tv shows etc.
If you can find some common ground, it's always good for knocking barriers down.
Who's abusing you on whatsapp? Other people in the game?
Likewise, looking forward to meeting you, and seeing grumpy old Tikay, too
It'll be cheap as I don't really drink now that I can stagger around like a drunk when I'm sober, lol.

Yeah, coming to give my cash away
Not stopping overnight, though. Malmaison was sold out, and couldn't find anywhere reasonable for under 300 quid.

If you're trying to talk any type of poker strategy at any point that's probably the problem, got to be one of the worst topics at a poker table. Almost always divisive, alienates people and can put others on the defensive or make them feel stupid, nothing good can come out of it. Much better to talk about things that people have an opinion on but not one that will create problems, especially if its something they can take the piss about a bit. My first concert was a steps gig for example and I can still remember most of the words to their more popular songs :p

It's a 2 day event, but in your case I guess that works.
I heard that Malmaison was fully booked, the guys from Head Office tried to book it but it was full. Man United are in town that weekend playing Tony Bloom's mob which probably explains it.
I prefer to stay out of town, up near Hickstead Showground, lovely countryside up there.
Be a few blondes at SPT Brighton actually, oioi.

Ha!
I'll just fly back up on Sunday, should the dealer somehow give me the heater of all heaters.
Only a couple hours, so not the worst trip in the world.

Sure am. Looking forward to something a little different. I enjoyed the sky events up at DTD a couple of years back. So looking at enjoying these too.

I think that’s where I went wrong. I enjoy talking about poker, discussion strategies and that type of stuff. Again I never brerate anyone or ask the question “why did you do/not do that” But engaged with a guy who called me bluff on the river and the guy correctly called after tanking with the second nuts in PLO. Went something like “man I really thought you as it” I reply “I thought you had a middle set and could get you off it on the river. Good call.
So I will just resist the urge to engage in poker chat. But I generally feel rude by ignoring them or giving them one lines like nice hand.
