Unlucky Stu, rough day.
Love Razz, but abs clueless about the complexities of it. Very interesting game.
Good luck in the mix tomorrow!

$1,500 mixed Omaha hilo
This is a great tourney today. All Omaha Hi-Lo variants, the mix is; 4 card pot limit, 5 card pot limit, 4 card limit.
Decent start, 14k, start of level 2. (Starting stack 10k)
I had a very good limit round-
, was just about enough to complete the SB after two limps, hit a nice flop of
(second nut flush, needs to fade one more low card),
and an even nicer run out of
And I collected a total of four big bets

$1,500 mixed Omaha Hi-Lo
Four card pot limit
Interesting one. I have in the small blind the beautiful
There is one limp, and I raise to 400. Just the limper calls.
Flop is
(goodish. Nut low draw. But lots of high draws of which I have none).
I bet 700 into 900, he calls.
Turn is
.
(nut low made, aces may just about be good).
So now, we come to the question of what the purpose of my turn and river bets would be. They mostly include:
1) To get value over two streets, from A2 with a worse high, or maybe a hand like A456 (currently beating me for high, but some outs for me to beat it)
Or
2) To try to make him fold a better high, or a hand with outs to a better high
We come back to the A456. If he did have that, and we bet the turn, obviously we take high EV to the river if he calls, but also benefit more if he folds the turn
There are then alot of hands like A457 (worse low and high, but straight, two pair and trips draws), or A4 with hearts. Against these hands, we are winning for high, but if we bet, then it's a good outcome whether they call or fold.
I decide that the way I win a big pot here is if I find him with A2 and a worse high, and he gets stubborn, and quartered. It's tough to see him calling two streets with a worse high and worse low.
So I bet 1,800 into 2,100. He thinks, but folds
Back to the general theory of this game:
This game is alot about deciding- what is the purpose of a bet? The only time it becomes at all simple is if you have a good hand on the river. Then you get down to a bet either being
1) To make him fold a better hand in the other direction, when you have a strong one-way hand, or
2) If you do have strength both ways, to make him call with a worse hand in both directions
The easy guidelines stop there, but it's important to at least have in mind on the river what the intended purpose of a bet is

$1,500 Omaha hilo mix
Five card pot limit
Five way to my big blind, I have
(A poor hand. Almost no low value, limited high value)
The flop is
(A rare good flop. Top two, and nut flush draw)
Basically now I'm betting to charge low draws. I bet 300 into 500. One call.
Turn is
(Not good, low gets there)
My mission now is basically to try to make a non-nut low like 25 or 35 fold. I bet 1,100 into 1,100. He calls
River is
(I get there for high in the unlikely way, the nut straight).
Do I have any chance of being called and winning in both directions? Probably not, he would have to have something very specific like 443x, for a set of fours and a one card low.
So I decide to make the purpose of a bet specifically to try to get a 26 or 36 to fold. I bet pot, but no good. He has the nut low, and I split against AQJ32

$1,500 Omaha hilo mixed
Four card limit
HJ limps, I have
, and raise. Big blind and HJ come along.
Flop is
(not great, low draw is unlikely to be good)
Big blind leads, HJ folds.
It could be a fold. He'll have a 6 alot- on the basis that he surely either has that or A3. He will, for instance, never play KK like this.
I call, on the basis that if he checks a high card turn, I can put him on likely A3.
Turn is
. ( I make 4th nut low). He bets
The 4 is not bad, as it counterfeits some of the lows he could have along with his six, and puts me into the lead for low . A straight should be unlikely; it would have to be an A35 combo or 356 combo.
So I'm making the decision at this point on whether I call down to hope to get half- that being either with AA against his A3 nut low, or with my A7 low against a 6.
I do decide to call down, river is a blank king (we need to avoid a 3 or 5 which would make our low likely not good), and he does indeed have just the high, with

$1,500 mixed Omaha hilo
Four card pot limit
Button raises to 600, I call with
Flop is
(no low js confirmed, I have nut lush draw)
This game is almost more interesting on high-only boards.
I bet 600 into 1,300 to set some stuff up. He calls.
Turn is
(I pick up three outs to the nut straight)
I bet 1,500 into 2,500, he calls.
River is
(nut flush)
The paired queen is not so threatening. His only houses or better should be QT or TT, given that he didn't raise the flop.
I actually feel that his turn call was more likely with a pair of tens plus flush draw, than it was with a straight and flopped pair.
So I go fairly high; 3,500 into 5,500.
He calls, and I think says he has a flush.
