I don't know too much about RU, but the World Cup is imminent, so I thought I'd see if a RWC thread might get any traction. I know we do have a few RU fans here, so hopefully they will chip in.

England flew out a few days ago, & they got stranded in Japan I believe, but are presumably in-situ now.

I know nothing of the other Home Nations, but I assume they are all there.

Here's the England squad with the special livery BA 787;

I was reminded of the RWC when I happened to see this Tweet, featuring Martin Johnson. In my (possibly naive) eyes, he was THE best Captain I can recall, in RU, or maybe any other sport. Proper man & a real leader. He's "Martin Johnson CBE", and if any Sportsman deserved a Sir-ness (another debate altogether) it's Martin.

Tighty (amongst others) used to be pretty handy with the RU tips here, and whilst I'm sure he'll comment, doubt you'll see too many tips as he is doing a RWC Special (£50) for Betting Emporium.

I'm not here to spam him or them, but if I were buying a RWC tipping package, that's the one I'd go for.

Anyway, there you go, I've got my work to do Next Door now, but let's hope the thread seeding works & we get a bit of traction.

Over-under on next post on the thread (excluding me), is probably about a week, but you never know, someone may pick it up.

Seem to recall a blonde mentioning he was going to the RWC, but can't recall who it was. Woodsey maybe?

Photos or it did not happen.

Yeah heading out on 11th Oct for last group game, also will be at both England’s potential QF’s and both semis if they get that far. Heading over to Seoul for a few days also in between games.

Have to be mental in this day and age to think you're ever going to get away with stuff like that.

Best thing to happen to Wales for a while. Stephen Jones going out now. Far, far better coach than Howley.

Twitter is hardly a platform where we can believe everything that is said, but fwiw, the word there is that Howley placed a bet of £6,000 on England to win the RWC @ 4/1.

If true - IF - that's proper serious.

Which bookie takes a six grand bet these days?
