Season 3 of MCQ looks to have boiled down to a two horse between two men who already have a second place finish on their record, degston77 and Tal. degston77 is a huge favourite to win from here given there is 3 questions to go and he holds a 2 point lead. It could be argued that defending champion Rubbish2407 is in with an outside chance of winning given the form he is in, but is a further point back and needs things to go his way. HutchGF was hit with a zero pointer to all but end his hopes and KarmaDope's single point looks to have done the same to his chances. TightEnd increased his hold on a top 6 spot with superwomble scoring zero.
The race for that 6th spot is one of the most interesting stories to emerge as the season draws to a close as Archer and Dacorb have found some late form to join superwomble in being a point behind TightEnd. Juperjiper, Ironside and jakally will still hope that they can force their way in. The three currently sit on 24pts, 2 behind TightEnd.
The league has really split in two after jakally in 11th and those from 12th to 15th are really hanging on to their safety with only 1pt separating 12th from 16th and a spot in the bottom 6. celtic has found some late form and looks to have left the battle to avoid bottom down to bergeroo and nirvana.

It looks like declaring this a 2 horse race after Q17 was very premature as a tricky question catches degston77 out and it has tightened right up at the top of the table with his lead down to 1pt. Tal missed the chance to move in to a tie for the lead with a zero pointer. Rubbish2407's campaign has definitely been one of the stories of the season, he led early in the season and then failed to answer one of the questions and found himself out of the top 6 for a period. However, in an amazing turnaround, he now sits in 2nd and only 1pt behind degston77. Can he win back-to-back titles from the most unlikely of positions? HutchGF joins Tal in 3rd and both are only 2pts behind, this could be described as a 4 horse race! TightEnd and KarmaDope are in a tie for 5th with Dacorb, often referred to as the silent assassin, sitting on the same points in 7th.
Archer and jakally are only a further point back in 8th and 9th respectively and everything is set up for a thrilling end to the season.
The bottom 6 finally has a new face and it is similar to Season 2 for arbboy as he drops in to the bottom section late on. Alverton was the man to benefit as he leapfrogged both arbboy and stribling to join Karabiner and Pokerpops on 22pts. In the bottom 6, ForthThistle and 4KSuited who have both enjoyed top 5 finishes previously are still in with a chance of escaping the zone. bergeroo and nirvana are now tied for last.
