We has to choose between one with 47 buttons and a separate setting for everything, or one with two cooker stylee knobs and a separate setting for nothing.

The real deal breaker was the fancy one had a 'Mute' button to make it cook things quietly. That means it can cook quietly, but they allow it to cook loudly unless you press a button.

Tossers.

And, once you have it, you'll only use On and the timer.

This.

I have a fancy combo micro oven thing with multiple settings for everything you could imagine.

The only button I use is the auto 30 seconds at max power.

Here's a bit of technology that does my swede in.

In my camper I have a radio/CD player circa 2007. You press the left hand knob to turn it on and press the same know again to turn it off.

The thing is, you have to hold the knob in for about three seconds to turn it off.

Why for fecks sake? What are they worried about?

What is the worst that could happen if it went off too quickly? Are they afraid I'll suffer withdrawal symptoms or get the musical bends?

It's amazing just how long 3 seconds is when you're seething.

Also, why does the charging lead always plug into the most inconvenient bit of your laptop?

That would be great.

I would be very agreeable to that.

Another decade of hard graft and saving and you'll get there.
