Read a lot about making sourdough bread during lockdown - as someone with aspirations to be middle class I couldn't resist.

After all the reading and research, overjoyed that my first loaf came out as incred as this

Good rise, good oven spring, good colour, good ear, decent crumb and oh yeah, tastes pretty good too

Done well to leave no evidence of the wrapping/bag from Waitrose in the background.

So much i could tell you Ralph. The ear is that open slot at the top, produced by slicing into the dough with ones lame prior to baking. The crumb relates to the texture and air gaps produced during fermentation.such a satisfying process from start to finish. Next thing youll be asking is how i made my levain

Looks like good work to me, appreciate the clean hob too.  Can do cakes pretty well, bread can be a disaster.

I'm trying to get to 10 red rewards on my Nandos card before 2021.

I'll eat bread, but won't be trying to bake any.

Good looking loaf, though.
