Bokked myself packing early to fly home, as I got a text telling me my flight was cancelled just as I was about to check out of Encore.

Guy asked me if I needed another night, so I guessed they might have some routine for guests that have this happen, and all of a sudden I wasn't too stressed. Then he told me the best price he could do was $1,100 for the night, so that's where the rest of the staking money went unfortunately.

Just kidding Cheesy

I managed to get a night at Ballys, so have checked in there and flying 8am tomorrow morning with Delta all the way, instead of Virgin. I was landing at 2:50pm, but now land at 7:30am, so Dad gets a nice early alarm Thursday morning.

Luckily I took my pre-flight test yesterday, so it's still inside the 48 hours, but have to cancel and rebook my arrival test, and re-do the passenger locator form with all new info

What a time to be alive!

I've got no idea, and not that bothered currently.

Might look at it once I get home, but have my finger hovering over booking another couple nights, in case they cancel this one.

They pushed the 8:00 to 10:30am this morning, and then 5 minutes later to 11:00. My 3hr 54 layover is now 54 minutes, so going to make sure my connection will wait for me in Atlanta, or I'm not going anywhere.

There is a Virgin from Atlanta at 22:00, so will ask if I can get put on that, if the connection is not held while passengers on Vegas flight are hopping planes.

I can't remember the last flight I've had cancelled, so can't moan too much. Epic timing, though.

Only time I had it was 2018 I think when I had a Thomas Cook flight cancelled the morning I was supposed to fly NY to Manchester.

Rang them when I got home and send them the bill for my Virgin flight back and asked for the compensation, they were super helpful and the money was in my bank the following week.

Assume Virgin would be similar, maybe an online form? https://my.virginatlantic.com/euclaim/

As long as it's not Ryanair!!  Wink

Think they'll be covered under the 'extraordinary circumstances', though.

Might see if I can get a free upgrade for summer, or something. I was flying back premium, and ended up in economy (ish) on the Delta flight they put me on.

Why? What was the reason?

I was meant to be going Vegas - LAX - London

They switched me to Vegas - Atlanta - London

I ended up on 2 Delta planes, both full, instead of Delta - Virgin.

Might depend which leg was cancelled as it only applies to EU airlines flying in or out of the EU.
