Makes perfect sense.

Limbo bars are low, rather like the IQ's of those who were unable to make the connection.

Don't you start! Poor Dakky hasn't been seen since Evilpie battered him with his friendly advice.

I lolled so much.

Lol. Not true though; I posted on Monday...

You may have noticed I'm not a "you go girl, you got this" kind of motivator.

I just tell it like it like it is. Losing weight is easy, just consume fewer calories than you expend.

How you go about doing that without going stir crazy is the tricky bit.

2 stone is low?  Confused as well.  Done one kilo so far, so still in the realms of randomness.

End of Jan target was the low bar easy one.

End of April is the one he'll fail. 2st is actually quite tricky whereas you could drop 5lb with a half decent turd.

You could, because you're full of it.

Jan 1st  -  16st 0lb
Jan 10th -  16st 2lb
Jan 17th - 16st 3lb

Have you actually been dieting or just weighing yourself whilst not really changing anything?

Genuine question by the way, not mocking.....

If you've been putting some effort in but seeing your weight increase it could be very discouraging. If you're in a calorie deficit you WILL lose weight but if the scales don't show it in the first few weeks you could easily quit thinking it isn't working.

The way around this is to weigh yourself daily, not weekly. Weigh in every morning at the same time then take the median from the last 7 days as your actual weight.

You could change from a 4000 calorie 100% fat based diet to a 2000 calorie protein/carb diet and actually gain weight in the short term just through water and the actual mass of the food. Every 1g of carbs you consume absorbs 3g of water like a sponge so you gain weight even though you're in a calorie deficit. You'll be losing fat from your body but gaining a bit of water. After a short while the fat overtakes the water and you'd see a consistent loss.

Not saying this is what's happening, it's just an example of how the scales can mislead.

Thought I was quite gentle to be honest.....

I will roast you about the walking comment though. In what world isn't walking intensive enough? At your weight you'll be burning about 150 calories per mile which is more than you'd do in any weights session.

Lifting weights will make you look better and give you a few muscles here and there but walking is significantly more productive if weight loss is your goal.

The way you defended fruit I thought some of the essay battles of the past about whole foods plant based, no oil, salt and processed sugar, we had were getting through to you, ha. That's a goad. I know you never doubted fruit.

Oh God no!!! Plant man's back!!  Cheesy

Hope you're doing well mate, assume you're still doing the same diet and going well on it?

Whole foods, plant based would 100% work for anyone on here but I doubt any would be able to stick to it. It's the same with any diet that cuts out particular food groups, they work by restricting calories but very few enjoy them and can stick to them.

You're very lucky that you don't see your diet as 'restrictive'. In your eyes you can eat as much as you want but that's because everything you want is on the list.

I can't imagine anyone active on this thread could stick to a diet that contained no oil, salt or processed sugar? Oh..... and meat.....

If they could they wouldn't be over weight and on this thread, they'd be super lean somewhere chewing on a bamboo stick.

Friday 21 Jan - 13:7:2

Really happy with small loss this week.

Exercise very similar  to last week, food was mostly good too.

Between now and the end of feb would be great to get below the 13 stone mark.
