Also fogot to ask about cardroom etiquette at Cincinatti's as well. Down this side of the wall we have a custom whereby all cardrooms are "english only" - do you have the same rule up there, are all card rooms "scottish only"?
To be honest it has been a while since i last visited so i may need to purchase a pocket phrase translator for my trip - could anyone recommend a good bookshop that sells them?

Good point Matt, also do we bring our own knives and bats or are they provided on the door?

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.

if anyone is flying then if they are getting ripped of then you can also fly to prestwick and get a leisurely train to glasgow fairly cheap and quickly
ryanair do that flight ....get in early as for hotels i know the guys are trying to sort a deal but hotels that are reasonably close
jurys hotel - jamaica street corus hotel - argyll street holiday inn express - stockwell street radisson sas
also a wee short taxi ride
hilton thistle marriot
no claims on the corus for how good but the rest are ok/good
