although she doesnt play the women only events she thinks they are a good idea to draw women into poker that normally wouldnt play, when the mix of men/women reaches a more balanced level then there will be no need for this but for a woman to walk into a casino for the first time and have to play in a field of 95% men it can be daunting

Yeah i can see lots of women walking into a $3,000 game as thier first go! Although i think the arguement makes sense, its quite clearly not the case here.

Irish is the same as crazy pineapple if u have played that online.....

You get 3 cards it plays like holdem and u discard 1 card on the flop.

Superstud you get 5 cards dealt to you, you throw 2 and keep 3, turn 1 face up keep the other 2 hidden and play just like normal 7 card stud.

Comparisons are irrelevant, simple, it's ok saying there are worse things in the world and i agree there are, that's not the point though is it?
Sexism is sexism is sexism, if this were a male only comp there would be a few extra voices saying it's wrong, if it were asians only a few more, whites only then it would be a world wide story.
The point is what is right or wrong not the scale that is applied, do you compare Aberfan with tsunami? no because both were the same in the scale or context that applies to you (or me).
The point i was trying to make is that a female only comp is wrong in this day and age, no argument can support it, ever.
Being the right thing to do for blonde is a seperate issue and to use it for a publicity purpose is fine but it is no excuse for blatant descrimination.

As has already mentioned, blondepoker did not set up the World Poker Open. They were asked if they wanted to have someone in it and at great financial loss to the site tikay and El Blondie have said yes in the hope of some coverage.

The issue here is supporting the decision of these guys as they are paying for blonde to stay running out of their own pockets by the sound of it.

In honesty, no I dont love the idea of a ladies only event, but I do love having blondepoker and our support is the only thing that will help events like this.

Perhaps you should write your thoughts to Mr Hearn?

Women can join any tourney they want...they also have a choice as to whether they want to join this one.

So we have extra equal rights...

Perhaps that's what is eating at you?
