It will not be an easy task for Kev, he just said that whilst players take a break he is expected to throw in the occasional Lap Dance.

Well, whatever the rights & wrongs, I'm delighted for Kev, it could not happen to a nicer bloke.

He Rails all of us when we need the PRO, he's always there, specially online, & while he sticks his elbows in my ribs, if anyone has a go at me, well, Kev soon sorts 'em out. "Look Dummy, I can call tikay  Fish, but you can't".

blonde are also pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring Kev, as a male model, for our new range of blonde thongs, for Traffic Reports - he's the "Pie in the sky", & our pair of eyes on the Poker Scene, Kev sees things from several perspectives at the same time. We have, however, limited the sponsoship to $50,000, or 10% of Kev's Bar Bill, (sorry, Hospitality Bill) whichever is the greater.

His new name will be Couch, The "Eddie The Eagle" of Poker.

Go Couch.

We are doing lots of other activity too, such as the Champion of Champions event, in which we are putting up £100,000 in prize money.

It could've been £110,000 though couldn't it?
Or whatever you are gonna spend on someone drinking JD's and eating pies

The costs are actually not as bad as you would think. Most of the pies and drinks will be comp'ed in the Grosvenors. It was either spend it on someone to do back massages, like they do at the EPT, or Kev - we figured he's be a more popular choice and he can do a bit of shoulder massaging anyway.

Basically Blue Square have killed three birds with one stone:

1. Someone to help rail the online qualifiers.
2. Somone to do massage for the players...and he only charges 3% for a 10 min massage, 5% for 20 mins.
3. Kev has stopped nagging them to give him a sponsorship deal.

I can vouch for the Massage bit.. been on the receiving end of his hands more than once..

WOW i didnt expect so much support, thanks to all of you, and the pm's i have received have been very positive... Thankyou.

Im sorry that perhaps one or 2 people feel that this is an undeserved opportunity, however perhaps they might ask themselves how they would react if it was them on the receiving end of such an offer.

I fully intend to grasp this chance and put maximum effort and time into ensuring it works for both parties .

Do I detect jealousy?

Not jealousy as such (well a little maybe), i just don't see how you can justify this.
Sponsoring players to play poker brings attention to bluesquare when results are obtained, but someone paid to sleep, eat and drink does nothing!!!!!!

It's a shame you can't just be happy for Kev, Ian.

I am happy for Kev, jeez he's had a raving result here.
I just don't get it?
How the hell can they spend our rake on a daft "job" like this??

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life.
Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

I disagree ifm, the vast majority, ie, everyone else, thinks it's a great idea and money well spent
