JP Doubles Up!
He raised to 30k, got re-raised by Luke to the tune of a 100k stack, moved in - Call!
JP showed
Luke showed
And the board didn't bring any help - which means that JP takes back the chip lead to the tune of about 640k to 450k.

Good updates once again folks, nice return for Mr update himself too.
Gotta say the thread was quite badly tarnished by all the SPAM throughout, i hope this is not the road they will all be going down from now on.
I had to move my mouse wheel almost a quater of a turn to get past it

Is Djinnifer still in Luton... could someone ask her to borrow a phone and give me a call if she has a moment? (Not urgent.)
Thanks!

Some semblance of reality has returned here at Luton, with J P regaining his composure, & taking a 850k - 240k chip advantage.

Now it's 750k - 340k in JP's favour.
It's Raise-Pass, Raise-Pass, there are no flops to see.

Oh that last bit was me, re-stealing the laptop from the brave young Snoopy who has gone way beyond the required work ethic to update while I dabbled in the £100 freezeout and then sat vulture-like over the final table.

Just got home from London, Nick is quite happy about his final finish and £10.5k prize pool. Afterwards he maybe throught he should have waited for a better opportunity that A8s but V JP its hard to put him on a hand. I'd never seen JP play before today and he is top notch, makes his own luck and keep the pressure on all the time. Whatever the result he was easily the best player at the final table in my view and I really hope he beats Luke and the best player wins this comp.

Luke Patten doubles up -
With the board:
he moved in and JP called on the river. But Luke was holding
and has re-re-taken the lead. I'm getting confused.

Nice Post Rob.
I think Luke must have messed with JP's head - the last two times JP was on the BB he has given Luke a walk.....! It must have been a while since JP passed his SB without making up.......
Luke 750k, JP 340k.

This is weird. JP just turned a flush - albeit a small one - and, with Luke behind him, never bet the flop, turn or River. Waiting for Luke to bet, no doubt, but Luke is a caller rather than a bettor. IMO.....

That is odd, JP knows Luke is much more likely to call any of his bets if he (Luke) has anything because of JP's err....'slightly loose' table image.

Luke 640k, JP 350k.
JP keeps his stacks neat & tidy, in piles of 20, all nice & symmetrical, whereas Luke has his more Thewy-style, all higgly-piggly, different heights, the denoms all mixed up.

JP could be a little tired, it has been a long 2 days and no one could blame his game for going off after concentrating for so long.
BTW great updates
