Well, that's another Luton Fessie over, & it must be said, what a feast of poker Luton gave us.

Good comps all week, good attendances, excellent, firm control of the players by Simon & Helen, nice buffets, and not a word of complaint about the clocks & structures.

The Main Event was a 1 hour clock, 10,000 chip jobbie, & there were many who said it would never finish in time, but it did, with 4 hours to spare in fact, despite over an hour of heads-up. Carmel & Helen never panicked when we still had 30 odd runners in mid-afternoon, & she got it right.

Poker peeps are quick to knock & criticise when Casinos don't get it spot-on, let's hope they are equally quick to large it up for Luton this week, for me, they never put a foot wrong.

Jen, as ever, did a sparkling job with the Updates - nobody sussed her Dylan Song-Lyric riddled stuff, & our snoops gave us all a nice feeling in our nether regions with his sparkling big-event debut.

Well that's enough waffle from me. My first Update in a good while, & I'm truly knackered.

Thank you for joining us, the blonde Live Update Crew will be back next Saturday, from Dublin, with the Top Team of Jen & snoops back in command.

And yes, we will be a little more sensitive with the blonde spamming.

Night all.

xx

And here's the Victorious JP, not being at ALL patronised by the bluesquare and Grosvenor important people.  I think he looks all serious, like a cross between Michael Parkinson and Phil Ivey.

Awesome event, and thanks to an awesome job with the updates too  Cheesy Thanks and congratulations to Luton too for hosting such a wonderful festival. I'll definitely be back for the next one.

I only wish that Dan Carter and  I (Matt Dale) weren't so tired, and stuck around the next day to watch JP win! Congratulations!! He was definitely the right man to win the event. Good to see he didn't get bokked (is that right?) by the blondepoker forum curse!  Cheesy

JP, are you going to parlay some of the winnings and play the Irish Open?

Hey guys just got in from a very long 2 days and really a long week!! I thought I played well throughout the 2 days riding my luck at times but the pressure I put on from the bubble time onwards was the deciding factor. People did not want to play pots against me and I used this to my advantage.

I did a deal for a number of reasons and was still rather reluctant. Luke was horrible to play as he bet a lot of flops and he wouldn't fold!! I was also quite tired and I'd assesed Luke as a bit of a gambler who would make it difficult for me to run the heads up battle. We left £7,500 and a seat in the £100,000 Blue Sq freeroll + the trophy and jacket to play for so there was still plenty up for grabs!
That has to be 1 of the hardest games I have played heads up and am quite pleased to have remained incredibly patient enough to wait for the right opportunities. I think the old me would have got frustrated and gambled with him but I waited and my chances came.

Am too tired to decide about Dublin now so will have a think.

I appreciate the support from the forum, thanks guys.
