I know this is internet but I just can't figure this out......but here goes

I was playing a MTT on VC this evening when we got to the bubble. Now on Tribeca the tables are always broken down towards table 1.
I was on table 4 and there were 7 players at this table when we reach the bubble at 28 players,so I was expecting to be moved when the bubble burst,(not before)
We reach the break and there are still 28 players. When the break is over I am moved to table 1 before the first hand is dealt. The table is full and when the hand is dealt there is a dead button(player in seat 2 is moved to the button and does not play the hand)and in the hand is 8 players.I am all-in on the big blind and subsequently lose. Now imagine my surprise when I am placed 28th!!!!
I immediatley pinged a manager and was told that because I went out at the same time as another player,I was placed 28th because the other player had probably played less hands than me.........Now I'm confused

 1) How can anybody be moved from a 7 handed table when there are 28 players left(full tables are 9 handed)?

2)If I was moved before the bubble burst how come the table i was moved to was full?

3)How can another player have played less hands when surley there is hand for hand in progress?

4)If table 1 was full was tables 2 and 3 full also with 1 player waiting for a seat?I doubt it but you never know

5)Has anybody else experienced this before?

Now I don't care about going out on the bubble(it's not the 1st time, definately won't be the last),and I'm not caring much about the prize for 27th as it was only about $7 or $8 (the tourny was a $1 re-buy).What concerns me is the way the bubble was played out, there was no need to move someone from table 4 and also hand for hand doesn't look like it was in force!

Imagine if this was Tribeca's weekly $50k or even the $100k and I think the point I'm trying make becomes clear..

If anybody can explain what happened then I would appreciate it, but in the meantime I've e-mailed there support and awaiting a reply wiyh interest.

Were there 5 tables left possibly? Your one was broken up.

That's the only explanation I can think of.

No the tables were condensed down to 4 when there were 36 players left

I have been moved from a short handed table to another short handed table before now on tribeca.... whilst still on the bubble (or with one to go before a table breaks) but not to a full table - that's pretty strange.

This is odd, i have played shed loads of tribeca tournaments and never seen this.

My instant reaction is you must be mistaken but then tribeca have been making some changes of late so its possible i guess

Well I've had a reply from the support and they tell me I came 28th because the other player who went out at the same time as me had more chips at the start of the hand..Fair enough,I totally accept that no problem.
The query I had about being moved to a full table they can't answer because support don't have the ability to see which table I was on in each hand!!

So do I just accept this or do I continue to pursue the matter as I honestly believe that this was a glitch in the software that should be fixed.

Do you have hand histories from the hands just before and after you were moved?

its impossible for you to go bust on a full table and come 28th (assuming they are 9 seaters) so if you have the HH of the full table, it should be easy enough to prove. They can certainly see that much, and logic dictates the rest.

The table balancing bit of the Tribeca software has always danced to its own tune... I do think it's strange though that sharpy was moved to a full table, with 28 players still remaining. That's the really odd thing.

hah if he was at a full table, it would be something like 9-6-6-7, so hed be moved from a short table to a full one! I cant believe even tribeca's donk software can be this ill-tuned (but with them, I guess anything is possible)

This happened to me once in almost exactly the same way.

I was clinging on very low staked on the bubble, got moved to a full table and although it still said 28 players I assumed I had made the $$ and went all in.

I too was 28th and when I contacted support I was told that although the other player had went out before me he had played more hands than me... eg I had played 67 hands matey boy had played 68 and so in effect I had went out before him.

Didnt seem fair to me either but I learnt a valuable lesson...dont go allin on the first hand assuming you have made the cash.
