Killjoy here.......

Thing is, I gotta love you guys ingenuity.

One valued Member had THE most extraordinarily long "texts", which he kindly shared with us. He's a good guy, but we just think it's wrong to Cut & Paste from other sites & not attribute, & we aint that keen really on promoting other sites, any more than we will allow them to be flamed.

We had a quite word, & exchanged knowing nods & winks, & he desisted. Thanks Bud.

Reading this thread this morning (I've been pretty much offline for 36 hours), it's somehow got to almost 30 pages. Proof indeed that I made a bad decision in deciding eventually, on cost grounds, not to cover it. Damn.

However.....

Reading much of the stuff, it does seem to we that some of us have been Cutting & Pasting from other sites. I don't know for sure, as I ain't checked, but it looks that way.

Here's my take.

We should not C & P from other sites. We don't like it when it's done to us.

We are, & always will be, a site that believes in treating others as we would like to be treated. Fairly. I have nothing but contempt for those sites that copy our stuff & pass it off as their own. But that's a 2 way street.

What we CAN do, is disseminate information that's "in the domain". If you read in the Daily Telegraph that Brentford turned over Arsenal, you are fully entitled to tell your mates that. "I see The Bees stuck it up Arsenal again" kinda thing. If you see on ww.heresthenews.com that England beat Scotland again, you can openly & honestly spread that news. But you can't copy it.

So you CAN stick info on here that you read elsewhere. But bear in mind there's a right way & a wrong way to do it.

I'm obsessed with treating other Poker Sites fairly, & Dave is the same. I hope you understand.

Thanks.

As to blondeite Roland, well, I fancy he may just win the accolade of "blondeite of the week"...

And meanwhile, I've nailed down "Worst Business Decision of the Year" by deciding against doing a proper Live Update. To make it worse, Jen had offered to go & do it months ago, but summat came up & I asked her to do Duiblin.

Poo.

Go win it Roland. Paris WPT Winner, & now this. World-Class, plus some.

Prices for the final table are now up on Blue Square

Just click on the "Specials" section to get to the poker betting.

Good luck!

who makes these odds?!!

Roland at 8/1 is a cracking bet for sure.

SPECIALS
Poker > World Poker Tour > Final Table - Win Only

Figures in brackets are player chip counts.

World Poker Tour Championship 2006
James Van Alstyne (8.070m)    5/2    BET
Joe Bartholdi (7.135m)    11/4    BET
Claus Nielson (5.875m)    7/2    BET
Davidson Matthew (5.765m)    5/1    BET
Men Nguyen (1.490m)    6/1    BET
Roland De Wolfe (1.860m)    8/1    BET

Roland 8/1 and Men Nguyen at 6/1. I dont understand that bit according to chip counts?

Men only has 5% of the chips in play and Roland has 6.1% - I'd say 6/1 and 8/1 are awful bets. Give me Matthew Davidson at 5/1 with more than triple the chips Men and Roland have any time.
