UK WSOP 2010 Bracelet winner, blonde poker Shareholder and prolific forum poster James "Royal Flush" Dempsey finished in second in the WSOP 2010 Event 25 the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low Championship for just over $300,000 behind Sam Farha, who won his third WSOP bracelet.
Dempsey was going for his second bracelet in a fortnight and battled through 212 runners, entering the final day as one of the shorter stacks, rising to chip leader on the final table and then succumbing to Farha but only after an epic four hour Heads-Up battle in which he overcame a 15-1 chip deficit to take the lead, only for Farha to snatch victory as the blinds became enormous.
Dempsey was roared on by a vociferous live rail of British supporters and a huge online rail on this very forum as his friends cheered him on.
The second place also makes Dempsey the current leader right in the WSOP 2010 Player of the Series race, as he has one win, one second and another cash already this year. Quite a performance.
The British players now boast three bracelets, three seconds and several other final table appearances and we are only half way through the series.
Congratulations to James ‘Flushy’ Dempsey on a fantastic performance from everyone who posts on blonde Poker, and lets hope there is more to cheer for from the Brits in the second half of the series.
