(5) Day 13 - 15

Day 13 - Decided to make a rule. If I ever have 3 losing days in a row, I'm to take a day off.

Sensible idea I think, the fact that when I finished work I was completely dogged helped me come about it. I'll try to stick to it, should I ever have 3 bad days in a row again. (Might not happen Cheesy)

I start work tomorrow at half five for the 100 re-buy at CinCins. We're likely to be at capacity so I don't see me getting off till very late. If I'm too cream crackered, I won't play when I get back. If there's no Day 14 update that'll be why.

I'll be sure to get back to you and let you all know how Day 15 goes though.

Falling behind I know, but when the new computer gets delivered, I'll be experimenting with 6/8 tabling. If that works out I'll hit my target with greater ease.

Day 13 Results : Day off, to break the negative momentum.

(4) Day 10 - 12

Day 10 - Finally, I've had "one of those days". More 3rds and 4ths than you could shake a big hairy stick at. Not moaning, this is what happens in poker. I'm just happy that I managed to get another 34 under my belt. This ain't no bad beat thread, and I don't intend to make it so, no matter how bad they get.

I bought a new computer today, with a view to allowing the possibility of playing more than 4 tables. Even if I do stick to just the four-at-a-time, the 24" widescreen monitor will still come in handy. It'll make it easier on my 'ol mince pies. If I stare at my laptop for 8 hours every night I'll probably eventually go blind (even faster perhaps, depends what I'm using it for Cheesy)

Got it from t'internet, so I have to wait a week or so before my new toy is delivered. I'll have to fiddle with wires to set it up though, that always stumps me for a fair few hours.

Day 10 Results : -$555 (+$4410 total)
ROI - 33.4% (after 220 tournaments)

(3) Day 7 - 9

Day 9 - A special thanks to all those who offered me encouragement in this endeavour at blondebash, aswell as all those who have stopped by this thread and posted their well wishes. Knowing my progress is being followed drives me forward.

(2) Day 4 - 6

Day 4 - Aiming to play a fair few, only managed a reasonable, but ultimately dissapointing, 31. This 4000 target is going to be a bit tough, I'm not giving up yet though.

Spent an hour or so giving someone tuition, railing their game and giving them pointers so that's my excuse for not playing more. I didn't mind doing it, teaching is a great way to hone your own game. I got just as much out of it as I hope the pupil did.

Day 4 Result :  +$367.5  (+$3191.3 total)
ROI - 42.9%

That's why I love STT, 50 buy-ins is an ample bankroll to take on the turbo tournaments, I've made over that in my first 4 days. Cheesy

124 down, the quest is 3.1% complete but 3.3% of my time has gone. Will have to make it up somewhere if I'm going to win through.

(1) Day 1 - 3

Day 2 - A very good day results wise, less good as far as volume of play goes.

Only played 20, half of yesterdays total. I was busy with a few things in the afternoon/evening so I'll let myself off the hook for now. I'm tired now and there's no point in playing on when I'm sleepy. Task is 1.5% complete.

The good news is, the few tournaments I played in went really well.

Day 2 result : +$1,225.8 ($1773.8 total)
ROI : 48.5% (Still meaningless, it won't stay anywhere near this high. So long as it stays in double figures though, I'll be chuffed)

I'm trying to maintain a certain ambivilance about my results at this early stage of proceedings. Not celebrating too much when I win should help me not feel too gloomy after a bad day. Should help keep the tilt wolf from the door too.

There will still be highs and lows in my life, their absense would make for a drab existence indeed. I just don't wish that said ups and downs are dictated to me by my poker results. I'd rather my moods change because of what's going on in my life outside the random number generator.

Milestone #1 reached today, the Silverstar VIP status for 1,500 VPP which gives me a 50% increase in FPPs earned. Goldstar should only be a few days away, another 99 tournaments needed for that.

4,000 STTs In 4 Months

In the last six weeks I've only averaged 10 sit n go's a day. Not nearly enough, I'm getting too lazy. What I need is a target to shoot for and in Pokerstars new frequent player pont program I think I've found it.

My aim is to get to the Supernova level (100,000 VPP's) by the end of April. So it's 4,000 $55+5 tournaments in 4 months. Once I get this I can enjoy the equivalent of about 28% rakeback. (For explanation see the Porshe for FPP post)  I'm hoping to maintain an ROI of 15%, but will be happy with anything in double figures. If I hit the 15% target that'll be $36,000.
