snoopy, Sun, 23/07/2006 - 4:05am
The Beagle Bulletin a spot of cash with a mad yank After the marathon that was the H.O.R.S.E Event, Jen and my good self decided to reward our hard work with a spot of cash. First stop was Caesar’s Palace in the centre of the strip.

The Beagle Bulletin: Why The Long Face?

snoopy, Wed, 19/07/2006 - 7:41am
The Beagle Bulletin why the long face? So, before we knew it, Jen and I were in the Rio Cardroom fully braced for the much anticipated H.O.R.S.E Event (Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Stud, Stud Hi-Lo – although for ages my brain was telling me that the ‘O’ was straight Omaha, Doh!).

The Beagle Bulletin: Houston, We Have A Problem

snoopy, Tue, 18/07/2006 - 12:05am
The Beagle Bulletin – Part I houston, we have a problem Howdy, folks. Due to the inevitable pressures of live updating, uploading blogs, maintaining results & news, etc, I thought it naïve to commit to a diary of any kind, even if this is my first trip to Vegas. However, the more my eyes widen by what I witness over here, the m...

My Little Black Book

snoopy, Thu, 13/07/2006 - 10:51am
Things are going rather well in the salubrious surroundings of the Grosvenor Luton. The current running total since the beginning of June is 25 final tables out of 33 tournaments. Of these 25 finals I’ve hit the top three about half the time, and consequently 2006’s 'Live Poker' spreadsheet is looking very healthy.

One Step Forward, One Step Back

snoopy, Fri, 30/06/2006 - 7:36pm
A few weeks back, I ventured into the Gutshot Club in London for only the second time. The first was a media event for the PaddyPower.com Irish Poker Open (attended by poker pro Barney Boatman!) and to say I was unimpressed would be a hell of an understatement. The place couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be a sauna or the North Pole,...

He's Real!

snoopy, Tue, 20/06/2006 - 5:46pm
For the four years I’ve been involved in the game, there’s been one player, one poker ‘star’, that’s always amazed me, and that man is none other than the self-acclaimed Poker Brat himself, Mr Phil Hellmuth.

Return To Notts

snoopy, Wed, 14/06/2006 - 5:42pm
It’s a bright Sunday afternoon, the sun is shining, and the sky is clear – a perfect day for being active and hitting the great outdoors… or, alternatively, I could head out to the casino and play same poker.

Give Me A Break

snoopy, Thu, 08/06/2006 - 7:30am
Recently, I have decided to play a lot more online poker and really give it a good bash. When I first joined the blonde team, I just played every so often, but over the last few weeks I’ve hit the felt on an almost daily basis.

Mental Warfare

snoopy, Wed, 24/05/2006 - 12:36am
Online poker can be the most mentally tiring game known to man, not only because of the thought process involved in decision making, but also as a result of the inevitable highs and lows the fluctuations can have on your emotional state. At times, it really is a case of mental warfare, and those who remain consistently disciplined during this...

An Apology

snoopy, Wed, 17/05/2006 - 3:35pm
I have a confession to make. Last week at Blackpool, Jen and I were 30 minutes late for Day 2 of The Blackpool Championship, and, whilst tikay did his best to entertain the crowd, a skill that he is yet to master (ducks), it was clear to all that your blonde team were substituting the work ethic of updating for the sheer joy of the Big Dipper...
