LOL, not really, I travel all but 400 yards of Loughborough Road twice a day and there can't be many other greasy spoons along it. Much like last time, took a punt, got lucky.

Is that Rylee's Café, Tom? If so, it's two minutes round the corner from where I work. Some nice smells come from there when I'm walking past to get milk.

Andrew put that up a few pages ago, but it got lost in the cement/concert stuff and wasn't acknowledged.

I thought it was excellent, Andrew.

'And some of the seed fell on concrete...'

It really is a thread about concrete than? Wow. I actually wasn't really expecting that....

Yeah.  Now and then we get lucky and they'll throw in a train or plane tail...

Were they owt like these? Long dangly legs? I didn't realise until I went looking but apparently they're St Mark's Flies, bibio marci, to give them their scientific name.

Well done Jack. That Guinness is well deserved.

Has the tattoo been done yet? Smiley

I proposed spending money on something I wanted rather than something that Dawn didn't want. However, it turns out Dawn's quite keen on a non-Leicester Tigers' tattoo. So we compromised and I'm now the proud owner of a 2013-14 Tigers' home shirt and a 2013 Lions shirt. Oh, and a Trailblazer 10k Finisher's medal Cheesy. Tattoo pics to come in the weeks & months ahead.

That's horrible Davie. Hope it gets sorted soon but she finds the strength to deal with it in the meantime.

I really enjoyed it!

It didn't go to plan exactly, but not in a bad way. I started right at the back of my 'wave' and was forced to go slower than I wanted for the first kilometre or so. The terrain map on the website led me to believe it was all uphill for the first half AND tougher than my training runs had been, so I carried on taking my time to make sure I kept a bit in reserve. It turns out it was a fair bit easier than I'd been used to and I hardly noticed any upward trend. Anyway I felt great at 5km and picked the pace up overtaking around 20 people in the second 5km. So my time was a bit disappointing at 1hr 0m 36s. A good day however. Best of all, so far we've raised nearly £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support. If you want to chip in with a few bob more, apparently the page will take donations for another three months. Thanks to the generous souls that already raided their piggy banks - it's very much appreciated!

The cold war started cos Khrushchev pranked Kennedy during a family holiday when they were best mates. Accept he beat you, shake his hand and take the loss.

He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day - Some cowardly bazza
