"Kimber!!!!!"
Jeff Kimber has just been toppled like a hefty geordie redwood, and he didn't look thrilled about the manner of his exit
He was seen a little miffed at being out-flopped by Paul Parker following a raise to 4.3k that Paul made up from the big blind.
The flop fell 9 high, Paul led out and Jeff passed, only for Paul to flash
.
"I can't pass for that!" defended Paul.
Next up Jeff raised to 4.3k again, only this time it was a different Paul, Paul Newman who tangled with him.
No flat call on this hand, instead Paul moved in for an additional 18k, which had Jeff covered.
After some thought Jeff called with A-J and as soon as he called Newman said "nice call" knowing he was probably behind with his
.
He did add as an aside "I'd rather have shoved with A-J than called with it though!"
With Paul Parker wishing both players good luck, the flop fell rather nicely for Paul
.
Only the nuts.
Jeff looked on a little miserably but the
on the turn suddenly re-ignited his chances, giving him a chance to fill up and stay in on the river.
The river though was the
, no re-suck was evident and Jeff was sent packing in 18th spot...
17 left....35k average 800/1,600/100 blinds.
It's gettin hot in here! (Though we are keeping our clothes on....(for now!....(and most likely the next few hours)))

Not So Amazing Grace
You may be thinking Richard Grace looks a little short there with just 7k and the BB at 1,600 and you would be correct.
One of the reasons he finds himself in such dire straights is that a few moments ago, he re-shoved Anthony Thorpe's push on the button for 8k and once the big blind folded, they found themselves heads up, Grace holding A-Q and Anthony...er
.
A flop of K-T as the first two cards looked ominous for Thorpe but then a deuce spiked on the third flop card.
Plenty of outs for Grace, but none came as the turn and river blanked and he now finds himself on the cusp of elimination...

Jerome Gets Shafted
Paul
Parker
raised to 2.4k; for some reason he laid the chips out to look like a penis:
Anyway, Pab called on the button -- and then
Jerome
Bradpiece
announced all in form the small blind. Parker called, Pab folded, and they were on their backs.
Bradpiece:
Parker:
Pab: "Hey, I folded pocket nines!"
Flop:
Jerome hits, and Parker has zero chance of hitting a set.
Round about this point Parker starts shouting, "Flush!"
Turn:
"FLUSHHHHH!!!!"
River:
Unbelievable. Split.

Pascal Heynsen raised to 6k in mid position -- around half his stack. Essy Jahanpour reraised all in...
...And Heynsen folded, most curiously.
The next hand, incidentally the last hand of the level, he pushed all in utg+1, and found himself called by Anthony Thorpe on the button. While everybody else scarpered to the gents/smoking section, they proceeded to a showdown.
Thorpe:
Heynsen: in some trouble with
But wait!
Board:
Thus Heynsen makes a straight, and stays in to see the light at the end of the breaktime.

The players are on a break. 10 minutes though and the last 17 combatants will return to pick up arms.

Dis-Grace-Ful
Wow, the cigarettes/toilet breaks have really perked everyone up.
Richard Grace is gone. He shoved with 8-9 and got looked up by Ash Hussain holding pocket sevens in the big blind.
Board: a very exciting 6-7-Q-J-Q.
There's been another exit, too; Junglecat has the details.

Jerome Sent Home
Jerome has had some horrible luck today and that trend continued just a few moments ago.
We joined his table with his stack in the middle versus Ben Callinan.
Jerome held the advantage with
, versus the behind but live hand in Callinan's hands K-9.
Jerome gave a quiet tut as a flop of7d
appeared to give Ben the lead and as the turn and river fell
and
, Jerome's life-support stack was turned to dust and the slightly less giant than usual bear impersonator departs the tournament with an "unlucky mate" ringing in his ears...

Paul Parker raised from the button and then called the bubble-time push from big blind Marc Goodwin. Excitement!

All in stays in, and we continue with 14.

Thorpedoed!
The bubble has been brought crashing to a halt and it took a bad beat to do it.
Miller popped it up to 6.4k, only to find Anthony Thorpe shoving for 14k total.
A long dwelling period from Anthony Ross now followed with much grimacing and hand wringing, before he eventually threw his hand in the bin.
Priced in to call now Miller called the additional 8k, showing a lowly A-3 to Thorpe's powerful looking Jacks.
Poker is a fickle mistress though and this time she decided to run off with the milkman as a board of A-6-2-8-T transpired to leave Thorpe down and out and a relieved-looking Miller scooping up the pot.
That elimination burst the bubble, meaning everyone else is now guaranteed at least £750.
Good job guys!

Lordy me, we're down to 11 already. We'll be done by midnight at this rate.
Exit 1
Ben Callinan raised to 7k from the small blind, and big blind Paul Parker announced that he was going to reraise. "I have a jack, you see." This was a lie, but reraise he did -- another 16.7k, or All In, in layman's terms. Call.
Parker:
Callinan:
Board:
Thus
Paul Parker
finishes is
13th
place, winning
£750
but not in cash which he is disappointed about; rather the money will go in his Bluesquare account.
Exit 2
David Rudling raised to 6k, and Pascal Heynsen went all in for barely a k more. Obvious call.
Rudling:
Heynsen:
Board:
And so
Pascal Heynsen
busts out in
12th
place, also winning
£750
to a Bluesquare account, although apparently he doesn't have one, so one is being opened for him right now

Mower Mown
And then there were 10...
Alan Mower is the latest casualty, facing off versus Anthony Ross' big slick.
Sadly his A-T looked a little limp in comparison and a flop of K-5-2-9-Q did nothing to alter the balance of power, meaning Mower exits in 11th spot, taking home a cool £1,000 for his efforts.
Not a bad day's work!
On the cusp of the final table now, here are the remaining payouts awaiting the 10 players still in action...
1st £20k
2nd £14k
3rd £10k
4th £7.5k
5th £6k
6th £5k
7th £4k
8th £3k
9th £2k
10th £1k
