Good Luck Rinswun.

Will be a really close Game.

Good luck to you too! After our draft, the algorithms predicted me at 8-8. Seems inevitable that'll happen!

We both have a few options and questions to answer.  U have 2 players in the Early games Prior to Funday Sunday.  Will you get the lead.............. I don't think so....

Quick question.

In my yahoo league, we are at the Semi final stage and I have a quandry at RB

Got 2 RB slot and a flex that I like to fill with an RB too, so 3 spots.

My options are:

West v Browns
Denard Robinson v Saints
Karlos Williams v Cowgirls
Ivory v New England
Donald Brown v Oakland
Bryce Brown v Rams

At the minute I am leaning towards West, Robinson and Williams, WWYD?

Google has been my friend this year. Myriad of helpful websites for this stuff.

http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/pointsagainst?positionId=2

http://www.junkyardjake.com/Matchup/DefVsOff/season1/rb.htm

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef

The weighted dvoa stat on the third link gives you an indication of form, too, so you can assess whether a team has been above its average recently or is tailing off. It's usually a decent guide for whether a team has had injuries or is struggling because its defense is exhausted from being on the field for 40 playing minutes each week.

Obviously, you then have to consider the ability of the running backs, for which there are also lots of resources. Football Outsiders is my favourite:

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb

The DYAR stat is very interesting. I've made a lot of mistakes selecting poor backups.

And then you have to consider the offensive lines.

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol

Compared with defensive line:

...where matching strengths with weaknesses helps with decisions.

So, for example, Buffalo are the best in the league at left tackle and Dallas are poor (26th) at right tackle. Buffalo are excellent at 2nd level blocking and the Cowboys are poor. Karlos Williams isn't LeSean McCoy but he should fare well, based on the modest sample size we have seen, and if he can get a break through the DL, he'll be in with a shout of getting big yards.

That's if Shady doesn't start of course.

Keep in mind the game flow. If a team is likely to be behind, they're ditching the running game.

Those sights look brilliant Tal, cheers mate.

My main concern with Williams is he could be in a committee this week with Gillislee, which would be highly annoying.

Always a risk. Williams is considered to be a talent and we have a run first offense, despite what the GM wants.

Apart from Megatron, the Arkansas Gravediggers team basically picks itself.

I will nevertheless spend far too long confusing myself with stats that ultimately lead me back to where I started.

Should be a good game. Let's make it a high scoring encounter, either way.

I'm deffo hoping it's not high scoring bud, I would prefer you to come my way instead of my guys having to put up 140 to 150 to win. If it's 12ish -25ish tonight I will be happy.
