Dress standards? Hmm.
Think "black tie" might be a little over the top, but it's a step in the right direction.
Here's the 2015 November Nine, a fairly typical assemblage of rags tags & bobtails, where exactly one player has made an effort.
If poker wants to attract mainstream sponsors, & the money they bring to the table, then players need to make a little effort. In almost every mainstream sport or recreation which gets extensive media coverage, the participants present themselves properly.

Sad as I was to swerve Robbie, the payback was that Gill was thrilled to bits to see Miss Ross, she could not have been more pleased.
Rather like this photo, though I made something of a hash of that one third / two third "balance" we are supposed to employ in photographs.
Think we can safely say Gill was pleased though.

This is actually a great photo.

Lovely smile although I'm not too sure about the fascinator.

We met a lovely couple from Manhattan & they kindly took a photo for us.
Before we even spoke, they said "you must be from England, right?". No idea how they knew.

I love you're having great fun with your lady and all but I can honestly say I've never seen whiter legs. I mean I guess there's nothing wrong or unhealthy about having legs on the -3 from white negative scale but all the same, I feel it is noteworthy
Ditto I didn’t know white came in that shade 😂😂

Fella arrives 5 minutes late.
Complains he only has 15,000 chips.
"That's correct Sir".
Next he says "whoa, you dealt me 5 cards".
"It's Big O Sir, that's always 5 cards".
"Is it high only or High Low?"
"It's Big O Sir, so it's always high low".
He then proceeded to open or 3 bet every pot.
It remains unclear if he is the table mug or me.

Raise it up with this hand......
4 callers.
Flop:
Love the diamonds, dislike the Broadway possibilities, but I bet again. Not sure they can call without A-Q or a set.
Two callers.
It blanks out and we check it down, and we get shown K-10 in two spots. So that was the case K that flopped. Maybe if I fire again I take it down, but these boys don't fold much.
10,400 from 15,000.

An open to 600, 4 callers and we have 10,000 chips and this:
OK, let's do this. Pot.
One caller.
He sets me in. Call.
He has A-2 with nut diamonds and wheel cards. Ugh.
So he's got me at the bottom and I need to swerve a diamond at the top.
Turn is a blank and the case Ace rivers which is enough to give me the high and the chop.
Could so easily have gone against me but think we have to get it in there.
13,000

Not much going right here.
Dribble down to 7,500, then find
Facing a raise and two callers, I get it in and get one caller, who is the table shortie.
Flop is K-8-2 rainbow, which I hope is enough ( three pairs) but he has 2-2 in his hand to match the case 2 on the flop and I fail to improve.
1,500 at 200-300.
Next decision, if I fail to spin, is whether to invest another bullet.
