I was prevailed upon by His Chompyship to watch Countdown yesterday, as there was some mad genius contestant. And Countdown is now presented by COLIN MURRAY.

Is nothing sacred?

Some football fans are the worst; poor kid is going to have that hanging round him for years though.

I read Darren Moore was getting death threats after the first game.  After all he had done for them this season...  Really chuffed for him, he seems a great bloke.

No Idea how Dustin Porier is almost 2/1 for his UFC fight tonight against a really good guy - but one who has never fought top calibre opposition. Just seems like an absurd line based on hype for the Frenchman and the fact that Poirier got KOd by Justin G in his last fight. I'm having a big bet.

9/5 or 15/8 on Dustin was making absolutely no sense to me. Beautiful uppercut and right hook to win the fight after losing the first round - as I thought he might. Dustin is a tough dude and an absolute legend.

Anyone watch it last night?

Nice one, mate!

I did, and did not enjoy getting to bed at 7am... Though being sober has its upsides when you wake up Sunday Cheesy

I had a bet, but not a massive one and had said the same to all my mates who watch.

They were all on the BSD hype train, but I said the same thing I said when he fought Conor the first time, and was a similar price.

That said, I have to give a disclaimer that I never back against Dustin, and probably won't if he fights Islam.

Yes the odds on the first Conor vs Dustin fight were also insane. Why is he so underestimated?

I generally do a power nap and then wake up at 4am here in Germany for when the main card starts!

I think it's more that the opponents are overestimated on past performances, rather than looking at the matchup in isolation.

That was definitely the case with Conor. who still had the 'aura' about him, even after Khabib.

Same with Khamzat, when he was slated to fight Leon.

I had my biggest ever bet on Dustin to beat Conor, and in a double with Leon to beat Khamzat.

Bookies have gotten much better than they used to be, bu you can still get some decent ricks now and again.

I try to sleep in on Saturdays, as I'm no good at power napping anymore. I'm a fightpass early prelims man, too Cheesy

My uncle's horse Panda Boy is 3rd favourite for the Grand National so I'm not saying anything hugely interesting but he says "he's as right as he could be", if anyone fancied a bet.
It's a dream for him. He had a horse Doubleuagain that won at Cheltenham about 40 years ago. That ran in the Grand National, finished but didn't place. Winning the Grand National has always been a life long dream and to be so close is amazing.
