Was going to play this but reaching 700k live is a nailed on impossibility, im sure it wont deter people entering but a tough task.

This should have absolutely no bearing on whether anyone plays or not! And to be quite frank is absolutely  irrelevant

Like i said it wont, but still a tough task live

Even if you run like God in live play this will be a rare occurrence to accumulate a stack this big in live play, from what I saw of the online game it is likely to be a regular occurrence for the online days.... End of!

Also the average for 1a is irrelevant. Doesn't matter what you do to the clock you're always going to get the online short stacks spinning up much more than the Friday lives and the Friday lives spinning up more than the Saturdays.

There's no way you'll change that, it's a function of logistics and pretty much nothing to do with actual poker.

How can you say the average is irrelevant? This is a trial and simply proves that unless the online day 1a is synced with the live tournament this will act as a disincentive for the core live players. Don't get me wrong I still intend to play this invent, but hopefully Simon and Rob will act on the information to hand and put in place fair guidelines to protect both sets of players!

The online figures will always be disproportionate that I can guarantee......after 2.5 hours "spec" had a 240k stack many players had 10 x BB at that stage, shoving with KJ he picked them off with AQ a standard 60/40 flip. I don't know what he did with his stack as I went off for a Thai meal, but was keen to see the later stages of the play. Trigg lost a big pot vs Ben who had flopped a set of Jacks on an innocuous board, Trigg caught a set of on the turn and understandably it all went in, a bit of a car crash, which gave Ben the chip lead!

Ok no one will be complaining about the £25,500 added to the prize pool, but a disproportionate chip stack for day 2 and playing half the time this cannot be comparable to a live grind and on a personal level if this is to continue which I Wudnt mind if it did tbh, adjustments and chip stack should be synced with the live play IMO, I don't think that anyone including Ben, George and Liam would dispute that.

My concerns about the online day 1a have been realised, purely looking at the stats it is quite a simple equation to me and hopefully everyone else including Simon Trumper

Jan Deepstack over 2 days 727 runners
123 returned day 2 chip 16.91% of the field
Chip average 177k chip leader 400k
Short stack 13k

Feb day 1a online 85 runners
7 returning 8% of the field
Chip average 364k chip leader 700k
Short stack 76k

Really enjoying the UKIPT Edinburgh, ran into Liam and pleased to see he is chip leader, one of my mates was chip leader in Newcastle, Tim Timotheou, and it all went wrong day 2 for him and didn't even cash, but knowing Liam a little I'm sure that he will use this strong position wisely. I went up to 32.5k and was building steadily up until level 6, then had a few car crashes dropped backed to my starting stack and had a mini recovery last few hands to finish on 19k, with blinds 400/800 this is still workable. Played 3 sides so far having landed on Weds night... £110 6 max Weds busto mid way thru KQ suited vs A5 suited to a serial raiser, but chopped the £55 turbo that night. Ran deep last night in the £110 turbo out 16th from 113 with 12 paid lost another 60/40, but another friend Greg Barbour (from Fyfe - blue blooder) won the £55 turbo on chip count for £1k, I backed a few players in the ME and will be watching Dominic Kats progress today, then playing the £110 win the button event at 8pm tonight. Good to see all the regular dealers including Dena Hassan up here and some of the DTD TDs as well as Rob and Alex!

Sunday night 9th Dec sees a Charity Event in aid of Marfans Syndrome at the club starting at 7pm
The support from DTD has been great they have provided the dealers and tables FOC for the event with no reg fee
So a big thank you to Simon Trumper and Danny Bell for their help! As well as offering an Incredible 100 seat for the 3rd place finisher in the event! This runs alongside the normal  DTD schedule so I am trying to get poker players who would not normally be in Nottingham on a Sunday night to travel to the tournament and support the charity.... There is over £1000 of added value including GPS and GUKPT seats to be won!

The starting stack is 15,000 with a buy in of £50..... £10 going to charity, 1 re-entry allowed with £20 of that £50 going to charity
1st prize is an added GPS (2013) main event seat, 2nd prize and added Incredible 100 seat (to be used during Dec 2012)
3rd prize an added GPS Midlands Monster seat. Team Blue Blood will have 20 players attending the event , some travelling 150 miles to be there, Grosvenor casinos have put a bounty on each of their heads of $23 (Rio jackpot token online), so potentially 40 bounties to be won....The player with the highest number of bounties will win a GUKPT seat for 2013 tour worth £110..... Other prizes have been donated such as box seats and free bar at Birmingham speedway and these will be raffled off on the night

Thank you Tikay. I mentioned to Tighty we are planning on getting as many of the blue blood team to play the Sky Poker 6 max next weekend as possible, looking forward to that one!

Good to hear. The seats are limited though, so I suggest you buy-in sharpish.

Up in Manchester today for the AWOP GUKPT event 3 of the team are heading up there with me, I know of 5 playerswho have definitely confirmed so far but hope we can get double figures! And yep tx will advise everyone to buy in early!
